I play competitive hockey at a high enough level that people will stay and watch my games. I always take the time to interact with the little kids, and it’s given me some of the most rewarding moments of my life. Their little smiles and cheers are some of the best parts of the game. I always love to hear the parents talking to their kids after as well, saying things like “Look! There’s the goalie that gave you the high five!” or “That’s the guy who gave you the puck!” Etc. I’m still a nobody and don’t play professionally but it’s so amazing being able to make a connection with someone like that, even just for a few moments, that they’ll remember for a while :)

If I was the basketball player, I would probably give him a hug and give him money like once a year for homeless person to my food and then I’ll give him something that he can sleep somewhere but he can sleep and it just warms up my heart and I cry and I’m crying right now and I’m trying not to cry😢😢

@Thelostsalamibrother Live your life to its fullest! Love your family and love God. Smile every day and let the sun shine onto your face. Don't love just one race, but love the Human Race. We are all in this together. Do well in school, but think for yourself. Don't follow the others. That will just lead you down the wrong road. There is no shame in serving others. We will all need help one day. I live in the mountains of eastern Tennessee with 2 black German Shepherds. I served 4 years in the United States Marines. Life hasn't always been perfect, but it isn't meant to be that way. I lost both of my parents, so remember to cherish them while you have them. Listen to the stories that your grandparents tell you. Some of them may sound corny, but those are stories of their lives. There are probably so many more things, but I'm sure that you can figure them out as you go along. Take Care.

I loved the Harlem Globetrotters growing up in the 70's. They were a HUGE deal with kids nationwide back then... they even had a Saturday morning cartoon for a while. There were only 3 TV channels and we had to wait all week to get to watch cartoons on that one morning. Afterwards, kids went outside to play for the rest of the day, which is what we did 90% of the time we weren't in school. It was such a great time to be a kid.

As a father, it absolutely reduces me to tears seeing kids meet their idols and they're all class acts that take the time to cherist their moments. I know they're busy people, and people say "it takes just 2 minutes of your time" but if you factor that in every day, every outing, it must start to feel like you never stop. But they carry on for the kids, mad mad respect to those who do ❤️

A few years ago the HG came to our local university and took my daughter. Since it was a smaller venue we were able to meet all of them and I can tell you from experience that they All were absolutely amazing. They made my daughter feel like a rockstar. I will never forget that night and their wonderful hearts ❤
