Been keeping this one (in QBB color) in a guitar stand for /quite/ a while. However, got a new set of strings this week and gonna give it a try once more. If only it wasn't all that heavvvy 😵 Thanks for your insights, dude 👍

Those guitars look really good At one point I wanted to get one But end up getting a Schecter Omen 8

It’s definitely a beginner’s 8 string. I am a fan of Schecter and I use that brand in the band I’m in. How is the omen 8?

@@MD3000 I like it very much but since I have many 6 strings and only one 8 string I find it a bit confusing when I play with the 8 string but it’s definitely a great guitar And I have EMG pickups on it In other words I don’t play much with it I have a few videos if you want to take a look 👀 at it 🤘🏻🤘🏻

so emg 808x would fit this guitar? im asking because i heard that it's hard to find fitting pickups for multiscale guitars

You may have to go with the fishman set but the EMG’s are 101mm. They should fit, but I would get this professionally done, as you’ll have to sink the cavity a bit. Hope this helps.

There’s a video of Andrew Baena in which he puts Fishman Fluence 9-String pickups because apparently it is a thing with multiscale guitars that sometimes you need bigger pickups so that the string passes on top on the magnet. I have a 7 multiscale with the same scale and I put Fishman Fluence 7-String pickups and Gad no problem. Hope that helps

The only thing keeping me away from buying this is the shorter scale. 25.5-27" is a 7-string multiscale, definitely not an 8-string. I think I'll have to go for a Legator Ninja (26.5-28")🥲 and pay four times the price haha

Yes the scale is shorter, but I can still drop it to E and it sounds great. The Legator model is much nicer (I really like those guitars btw) but if you are looking for your first 8 this one is worth it (especially the price point $400).

@@MD3000 you’re right, this is my first 8, and I don’t know if I’m going to play 8-string as much to justify paying for the Legator. I might go for this one and put 10-84 strings to compensate for the string tension on Drop E. Thanks for the detailed review tho!
