My favorite advantage of a 7 String Guitar is that the Low B String makes it alot easier to transpose so you can match the ranges of other Musicians & Singers especailly on Church Gigs (just like extended range Basses).

Very nicely done video. OK...Monorail, yes I watched to the end. Do you think this is exceptionally wider than "most" 7 string guitar necks? .... or typical for a 7 stringer?

Thanks for this review. I'm in the exact same boat where I'm wanting a 7-string and want to experiment with the multi-scale fretboard. It might be the perfect guitar for me to get as well. I wish I could jump on the monorail and pick one up. But, alas, the monorail wouldn't go there even if we had one. Monorail.

Seems a few guitars recently where you've not got along with the neck pickup. Although it's nice that this serves a role as a companion to the bridge - even if it's not so useful alone. (Monorail)

Chapman has found its place in the middle price range guitars and I don’t think anyone necessarily has a problem with that; I still like my ML-7 more than any 7 from Harley Benton I’ve played.

I own a HB FanFret 7 and it has its problems. Also it developed some issues over time. For example the neck started twisting which actually ruined the guitar for a good low action. actually setup in general is almost impossible. the cavity for the humbuckers isn't cut deeply enough so you can't lower these enough to get a low action - the strings will touch the pickups before you get any low action. If I will ever smash a guitar it's going to be that one.

The quality on these is not very good. They sound pretty good to be honest for the price, but the tuning stability is a nightmare and it feels cheap. I'm returning mine cause it's frustrating to have locking tuners and it still detuning every time you switch from standard to drop tuning. Doesn't happen on any other guitar i have with locking tuners.

Hit it up with a flirtatious modding session, fix the issues, split the pups and jazz up that headstock with something more in keeping, fresh set of decent strings and this could be something special! Love it, MONORAIL included!

Monorailed ! Would have been nice to hear the rest of the guitar not just that seventh string ! What advantage does fanfret give ? Looks odd but does it make movement up and down the neck easier ?

If you want to drop tune it, use either thicker string or have a wind or two on the peg. It is not a problem with the guitar, but with the gauge of the string you decided to put there

I bought one and: yes, it feel so biiiiig and its heavy and you need a big strap! but: in my opinion, it has got an awesome "punch" (i play it trough my Helix, Randall Amp selected) and for this price there is no better posibility to get a fan fret 7 string.

Good morning form across the pond Geek! Let's get the formalities out of the way...Monorail. This video brings up the age old question...new low end guitar or used better guitar? Having never looked for a 7 string, I don't know the answer. It might be worth exploring the used market and contrasting cost vs what you get. Another well done and fair review video my friend!

Monorail! Is that tuner issue only on your guitar or a general issue of the model? That would be a deal breaker for me. It looked like a perfect guitar for my needs and a really affordable alternative to a Chapman Bea Signature. Good review!

monorail. Good video, but what is the big selling point for fan frets? Are they easier to play?

Thank you. The theory here is that the lowest strings and the lowest notes make a stronger, fuller sound by giving them extra vibrating length, and the upper strings get a brighter, clearer sound by giving them a shorter vibrating length.

They as a rule don't use a spoon for finish work on a guitar normally they use a cocktail fork to be precise, and Springfield tried to build the Monorail did not work out to well Bart can fill you in.

I have to ad a comment on the neck-dive you hate. I like that the neck is a bit heavy , when i have to move fast upwards it is easyer to do when you dont have to worry about constantly holding the neck with the thumb. I can play totally without using the thumb and that way i get 10-15 times faster on the fret. Try it my dear.

Monorail. First thing I changed on my FF7 was the bridge Pickup for a Crunch Lab, it's miles better now. I also agree on the nuts, they are terrible! I had to send back the first one I got from Thomann because the guitar was literally unplayable and the nut is just as bad on my replacement. I have no idea how they make them, I could file better nuts with a kitchen knife!

Cory Mura did SC-7 review, which has the same pickups as TE-7.. and it has coil split: kzfaq.info/get/bejne/jsx5oati0NTIhp8.htmlm47s But now in Thomann's website, this option is removed as well for SC-7.. Maybe it was only for the first batch.. :-(
