Here's a follow-up on the Harley Benton HB 35 plus after a couple of upgrades. In this video, I'll walk you through how to install a new bridge on a LP-style guitar. It really is an easy upgrade. Links to the upgrade parts installed are below.

Easiest way to pull bushing is unscrew stud, drop a spacer in the threaded hole, and thread stud back in. It raises them out, away from the mahogany center block, without damaging anything.

I salute you bro, I take my stuff to a guy for Upgrades :-) You did a great job. I may end up swapping the Bridge on mine as well.

Thanks Chris 🙏🏽 I was fortunate enough to have an awesome guitar tech on the road with me years ago that taught me how to do anything you could imagine to a guitar. Changing the bridge is a pretty easy upgrade just go slow with removing the old and replacing the new stud inserts.

Hey, thanks for the video! Did you drill another hole for each tuner? The stock tuners only have one screw and the new ones seem to have two? The new ones look great!

Hey Benson, I don't remember if I had to drill pilot holes for the tuners. I don't think I needed to but it's a pretty simple. Make sure your tuners are aligned; make sure you have a small enough drill bit and tape of your depth on the drill bit. You should have perfect results.

How do you feel about the Allparts bridge matching up with the fretboard radius? Any tonal changes? Happy?

Hi, thanks for the video. Whoever i've checked the size of that bridge and compared with mine and the sizes doesn't match. Mine have the size of the poles in 72,3mm. and this bridge sais it have 73,8mm. Can you confirm that the size of you're is 73,8mm? Thank you.

Hi Jose, I'm not certain of the exact diameter of the pole size. It is supposed to be standard to LP style guitars. Here's a link to the bridge with the part# so that you might be able to get more exact information. Bridge: amzn.to/3porjXr

Thanks for your video. I already changed the tuners in my HB35 Plus, but what improvement in the guitar changing the stock bridge for this one?

Hey Alvaro, thanks. I chose to change the bridge for a few reasons. 1. The stock bridge is a lighter aluminum feeling bridge. A more solid heavier bridge helps with the resonance, not that there's a problem. The guitar sustains for days just he way it is. 2. I noticed a lit bit of play or looseness in the stock bridge. The new bridge fits nice a snug. This helps with tuning stability and 3. Probably my main reason. I like the feel of the roller bridge. The traditional LP bridge style irritates my hand when doing runs and palm muting. I tend to anchor with my pinky and the back of my palm.

I did the Allparts bridge mod. Big difference. Much better bridge in my opinion. It has more radius in it so it boosts the D and G a bit higher which it needed. The bridge that came with it was too flat. I had a terrible time with the ferruls until I saw this video: kzfaq.info/get/bejne/qbqcoc6EmbbFZoU.html
