In my opinion the most important thing is to decide what would you use the bike for, I think that this custom one is better starting platform to customise . Just as it is from factory, its use is more versatile because it has a bigger tank , dual seat with passenger pegs this are cons also much more chrome. I personally prefer 48’s beefy forks and cast aluminium wells over the laced wells as this requires more service. Foward controls are also comfortable but not my favourite. Overall 48 would be my favourite with tank swap obviously. All also depends from how tall are you. Cause The 1200 custom has handle bars much closer to you which are more comfy to manoeuvre and mid controls is easy to rich if you under 170 cm. hope that helps a bit. 👍

Rishikesh H Yes it will make it taller , I think it will lift slightly bike frame so you will have greater clearance. Another way is more costly to replace front forks. While I was comparing different Sportster models I came to conclusion that best of best as starting platform is Roadster 💪

Thanks for comment Joshua. Personally I would say that stripe on the tank spoils the look of the bike a bit. Have you looked at 2019 models ? they have a color option Silver Flux / Black Fuse ? It looks best of all in my opinion. However I wouldn't buy one.
