Depends a lot on the Dealership, in the US the Dealer shores are very large with several sections for clothing, riding gear, they have a members area with a place to sit and have coffee, normally this is right next to the food, as most dealers have a cafeteria and barista, some of the bigger places here have them as well. They also have places like grilled and subway discounts and gym it really depends on the dealer, week end BBQ, Concerts in the carpark, and even night ride and weed day rides. But it can be expensive as they have a lot of tshirt and patches and pins and belts buckels

My first Harley I bought used from the dealership and they let me go through their riding academy for free. A year later I bought a brand new Harley from the same dealer and they included 1 year of National HOG membership. I haven’t gone to any HOG events yet, but I’ve renewed my membership and I’m planning on actively participating in their rides.

I’m going on my 3rd year of HOG membership. It definitely has its benefits. I get 10% off on service, parts, and clothing at our local dealership we support. There are 2 monthly rides hosted by our local HOG Chapter where we get to experience new routes and eateries, not to mention all the good company of fellow HOG members. Our Chapter engages in special events like supporting our local dealership in Harley Demo Days and Christmas rides delivering toys to children shelters. There’s so many other things we do but the main thing is we have fun!!!!

I’ve been with HOG almost 20 years. It’s lost its appeal to me. The only advantages I like are I get into the museum free, and they offer roadside towing. It used to be about riding and connecting. You used to get HOG magazine AND The Enthusiasts. Now it’s a digital copy of the HOG magazine. Now it’s about advertising the company. I don’t care about buying overpriced jewelry, and accessories for bikes I don’t own. I’m sick of reading about the Pan America in the magazine. I miss the Best Western hotel benefits. I used to get 20% off on stays. That is gone. I keep the membership because it’s cheap in the states and the towing benefits are worth it.

It’s not worth having in the United States either. The only reason I got it is because it was supposed to help me get cheaper insurance. It’s a joke.

I dont rember if you need the HOG membership to get the Chapter one? The dealer chapter give’s you 10% discount at HD clothes and accessories (not parts). The world membership is nothing worth for me personal. I was at the HOG booth at Faak am See and there was no special things for us….? Once or twice a year i do a ride-out with the chapter. Thats it. Traveling i do on my own. Budapest is booked already!,!

You have to like eating as a HOG member, because that is what they do most !
