This was a very quick impromptu video so it is not the best formatting. Just wanted to get it out there to help others.
After almost 6 weeks with no Battery Tender, the AGM battery fired the bike right up. Not even a chance with the Lithium battery....

Glad it helped. Went to start my HD last week and it fired up like nothing on my Wicked Start AGM battery. The POS lithium would've shut down before getting the old bike to fire up. I don't miss the headaches of the lithium battery.

Nope, my Wicked Start hasn't been on a better tender all summer through now and still fires right up.

You 200% percent accurate on everything you stated on lith vs AGM starting batteries for an HD. This is coming from my 50yrs 1st hand wrenching classic bikes & cars slobg with owning an 09 flhtcu myself too. My battery of choice is a Yuasa ZHYZ32HL AGM spec’s at 500cca but when tested above 32deg f has 570cca. I just bought battery on eBay for a friend @ $182 inc shipping ,but I had to dig deep in google & eBay to find it that cheap,most are priced $200+. Yuasa is hands down the best & most experienced motorcycle battery mfg in the world that are designed is Japan but are assembled in Japan and in usa(PA) to yuasa std’s using their parts.

In have used their batteries for years and all type of applications. Thanks for the feedback letting me know I was on the right track to my thinking.

Lithium is here to stay bud, get over the fear. My thought is you might have a weak stator, rectifier or something else electrical goin on. You got a lot of electrical stuff hanging on your bike. Just a thought...

You are correct whether I like it or not lithium is the way of the future. I checked all my other components and they are fine. If anything I just had a bad battery design. Thanks for watching.

I don't know of anyone using their brand. However, I know others that swear by Lithium batteries for HDs. Maybe I just got a bad battery from LiLead. But, I sent it back and the stated it was good. I just don't think Lithium was right for me given the cams and lifters I am running. I needed more than a split second power surge to start my bike. Google their battery and see if anyone reviewed theirs. Maybe someone has a video review on them. I loved my Wicked Start AGM and wished I changed years ago.

@@gphilpot1 i been reading and doing researches and turns out some of these lithium ion batteries have more AH then the bikes stator can handle. some are saying getting an aftermarket stator & rectifier can fix the problem to allow you to operate over 13V.

12v is not fully charged 13-15v that one is knackered buy a new one

Sounds like your bikes charging system is faulty, not your battery.

Bike's charging system is confirmed healthy. The battery performed poorly on other machines. Even A to Z Batteries don't suggest them any more. It's really the design of the safety on the battery itself. LiLead needs to allow for an additional second of cranking before it drops to safety shutdown mode. Also, research says standard charging systems for bikes are not designed to support Lithium charging cycles. Makes sense as all my quality chargers select between standard, AGM, and Lithium. But definitely a good suggestion. I did find the regulator died way before I tried to move to a lithium battery. I bought a quality replacement version.
