My sportglide is very similar exept its stage 2 , has a saddleman seat and Memphis shades fairing. Love the bike and the wheels.

Love the Sport Glide. I dig your T bar setup but think the 10” riser would fit you & other shorter riders better. Level or raised arms forfeit control and make the rider look like a mouse behind that big high round fairing. Love the Ventilator Extreme AC, black 2-1 pipe, & floor boards even though I chose cleats. Not a fan of the 1980 fairing. It looks like the front of a 1950s car. The Gustafson dark tint vented windshield & lowers on the factory fairing covers better is still quick release to bar hopper and doesn’t look as dated & oversized on the bike. It doesn’t buffet air like other windshields either. Plus no major time & money commitment. You are right on it needing a seat. Either a step or single saddle does it justice. Crash bar and rear shock extender also great upgrades. Better geometry for even better handling plus no more boot heel dragging. Last power. At or within 60 days of bike purchase you can get 20 percent off on upgrades & retain warranty when done at selling dealership. The stage 3 107 to 119ci is a great performance and price point upgrade. 95 percent of the performance at less than 50 percent of the cost & labor of stage 4. Swap the torque cam for the 498 cam as it was designed for the kit / 11-1 pistons and has no downside. SE or S&S Super Street high flow exhaust with catalyst plus SE Pro Street tuner retains HD warranty and meets EPA. 120HP 130TQ capable. Looks sounds & performs way better. Seriously it becomes an exhilarating ride. Don’t forget 37000287 High Capacity clutch kit.

Agree the mantis rim sucks. I would change size and style. Wrapped fender. And 10” riser instead of 12 “ so it finishes at 12 “ of rise. Also would pick a better handlebar. Fly 7/8” cheap crap. A good start tho, great job guys!

I have and ride a 1984 FXRT it's the true and original spirt gluide.

I would def do the tank badge and powder coat the wheels to match both orange badges. Saddle man, stage 2, and the new Harley LED lights for all bullets. Then I would be done. I have the 2020 sport glide but wife stole it so I bought a second bike. You probably, maybe, possibly, helped me make my decision on that. Video on that in the next couple days my go pro and helmet rig for it just arrived today.

oh the lights are gonna hit alright. a good bump parked or doing a full lock turn and *bonk*. another half inch or so would give it enough room for the inherent flex and probably keep that from happening. neat build though. bold move removing the tank graphics that'll probably pay off. something more subdued like you described should look great

I think all the wheels need are to be powder coated black, especially since many of the chrome accents were deleted already. I’m not a huge fan of the FXRT faring on this bike. I feel like the sport glide looks amazing with no fairing and a windshield is the cleaner option.

What size windshield did you use?

Did the factory wires or cables need to be extended on the bars and risers set in order to accommodate the 14” rise? I’m looking for about a 13.5” -14” set up on my 2021 streetbob and I know my factory gauge will need a wire extension. Just not sure about the rest eg throttle/clutch/brake etc.. thanks. Great video as usual.

Is it difficult to swap for a 19 or 21 inch wheel on the front? I think it would give a more laid back look, if you could do it without too much problem.

I normally don't comment critically on stuff ... but the fairing you have on your sport glide looks off to me and does look to fit right. It looks bad. Sorry to say.. it is way too big for the bike does not seem symetrical at all. . The fairing that comes on the bike looks more symetrical to me and appropriate for the size of the bike. It is "Sport" glide which means it a lighter weight nimble bike version of the Street Glide.

Labor and paint parts 6 to 8 grand you are looking at 30 grand.

Love the bike but I hate the bags. Just reminds me of Honda bags. Just my opinion but I think they could of did something different for the bags.

I love the fairing style, but I don't like that fairing, because it's open underneath, and it doesn't have the compartments. Y'all should use the fairings from Big Bear Choppers. Putting a stereo and speakers isn't going crazy; that's a big reason for having the fairing. The tank looks great, just plain black. So y'all got the lanes backward, wherever you are. The left lane is the passing lane. Y'all don't charge the customer for the stock parts that came off the bike, in the final price, right? I imagine that y'all just put them on the shelf to be sold.
