Scale Nationals is the top of the food chain as far as scale competitions go, and this year it's time to dive all in to get rigs built to compete! Matt from the @Scale Builder's Guild and I will both be competing in all 3 classes, but we need trucks that are ready to do so! Follow along our road to scale nationals!

Your skills at driving are impressive as well. Way to go to both of you. We'll done thanks again for all the hard work you've done to let us all see it all.

Appreciate all of the extra work to bring us the event. Competing and trying to film is a big task! Might want to look at your physical preparation for these events. You have had to "hobble" on the second day more the once. Both the driver and car need to be ready! Hope you had an awesome time.

Wow these looked incredibly challenging! Great job just finishing these courses 👍 (or mostly). Back in February I went to my second comp and learned just how challenging some gates can be set up, and how you have to keep the pace up. I timed out on both course 1 and 2 that day 😂. Thanks for the awesome course footage and coaching/commentary!

Good content of you guys crawling The Rock in Bama , Josh you are a great teammate for Matt with your support he is doing awesome , it is really good to see the two of you doing well and having fun , most important . Is your Class two easier to crawl with on that terrain vs. your Class one , is your class one wider or less tall than your class two or was it the weight difference, it seemed the class two was easier to drive than the class I was curious about why that may be ?

I understand that these are some of the best operators and built rigs around and I could most likely Never be able to out-build or out-drive ANY of these guys. With that said though, why does it seem like the gearing is too high, on most of them, and there is too much" jerkiness" with the rigs during the runs? Something to do with watching it on KZfaq? Something to do with running high KV brushless motors and 4s lipos? I need to get off my A$# and get to an event lol.
@joshheitzenroder365
@joshheitzenroder365 2 жыл бұрын
I believe Matt and Josh are running brushed motors. I'm sure it's a fine line between being fast enough to get through the course in time and crawl ability. I think the jerkiness is intentional to slip the tires into a better position.

Why is it that your truck looks more glued, like a gekko, to the rocks then the truck of Matt. Is that driving skills or layout of the truck, suspension geometry?

I've been competing for over 15 years so I've seen lots of twisted ankles and stumbles that have caused scrapes and bruises. But I've never witnessed anything truly scary.
