For anyone wondering which one is better, here is the breakdown for each: Harman Kardon Soundsticks 4: - The subwoofer has the lowest frequency of 40hz - One ambient lightning - It has two soundsticks, so you can hear the left and right of the sound/music. It also covers more area and faster spreading (upright position). If you play games with a speaker, this would be better. Hence, you would find this more versatile to use for many different things. - I find this have more cords, so it would make your place messy. It is not easy to move this thing around since there are three components of the speakers. - I tried putting the volume to max, surprisingly, with my choice of song, there has not been any distortion at all - They listened to their reviewers to fix the buttons on the Aura Studio 3 - Note: the soundsticks 4’s subwoofer cannot be set to your preference like the previous generation. Harman Kardon Aura Studio 3: - The subwoofer has the lowest frequency of 25hz, so if you listen to upbeat music, this is for you - Continuous changing ambient lightning, so this is cooler in my perspective - You can see the thickness of the bottom part of the speaker; this is actually one of soundsticks is placed there. One soundstick instead of two soundsticks. - Easier to move around and has one cord. Therefore, if you like to move your speaker around, this is a better choice for you - at 90% volume, it creates a distortion already - I personally hate the buttons on this speaker; it is hard to look for them In summary, there is no better speaker. Both speakers are beautiful! The decision is yours depending on the usage of the speakers. I got both speakers for the same price, and I keep both the speakers and use each depending on my case-to-case basis. However, if you have the Harman Kardon Soundsticks 3, wireless or Aura Studio 2, getting either the Aura Studio 3 or Soundsticks 4 is not advisable since it would be a waste of money. If you have the older soundsticks, this would be a great time to replace your older ones. If you have the Aura Studio 3, you do not have to buy the Soundsticks 4 as well. However, if you do not have any, I would not recommend getting the Soundsticks 3, Wireless nor the Aura Studio 2. I have Aura studio, play clear I cant complain but this device have two issues 1st Bluetooth - if u have few devicec plug in on same devices u have issues with connection for ex if u have mouse and keybord on bth speaker star have some interferance issues and dont play clear. 2nd maybe is my model but to 50% loud is playing ok but not woow but abow 50% its really really good. If u dont have space at home and u like music and hear details, highly recommend this device some times is mind blowing with quality.

Soundstick is less compressed and way more transparent on the mids and highs. More hi-fi voiced. AS3 is more bass driven and resonances are more apparent. More focussed for younger generations I guess

I have listened to them both in person and I think for listening to music Aura is a better choice but Sound Sticks has a better sound separation and clarity

For SoundSticks 4 it's designed for stand in front of the 2 satellite speaker for vibrant sound. And it's more powerful than Aura 3

I have Harmon Kardon Pl Soundsticks 4. The Play back is excellent. They are room filling. They are bass heavy with no controls. They need separate bass and treble controls to be Super Excellent.

Sound stick 4 sound is more forward, treble is more silly from the satellites.Better bass definition. Sound stick 3 is more warmer ,more airy dispersion but lose coherence at highest volume. Conclusion.. I prefer ST 3 for warm and airy..

Both sound very similar, but I think the Studio 3 sounds slightly better.

Is it worth double the price for the upgrade from SoundStick 3? I don't really care about Ethernet or wifi connection, it's just going to wired to my desktop anyway. But besides the connection feature, the other difference is the Amplifier Power Rating, 20 W RMS VS 140 W RMS. That's 7x difference.

Both dope. Soundsticks have advantage of left and right speakers but Studio more space conscious. And studio 150 dollars cheaper where i am. Also the lights cooler. Is a toss up.

IMO both aren't audiophile devices neither to give nothing that could reach perfection! To resume differences. SS4 would fit better at a desk or to keep over a surface. AS3 is more designed to be transported, something between fixed and portable but without a battery. I'd stick with AS3 for being a single piece solution. Sound quality on both is pretty much the same. As said, it's not designed to be perfect, but to deliver an outstanding sound indeed.
