He started HIMYM the next year. I don't know if he was cast for it before this came out or not but EVERYONE loved him in it, even my generation who didn't really know who Doogie Howser was. This movie/his role also probably started or at least re-popularized the trend of celebrities playing asshole versions of themselves.

back in the day this movie made white castle burgers seem like the greatest food in the world. after seeing it my cousin drove us an hour and a half away to go to white castle. it was the one and only time i ever ate white castle, and it was everything i expected it to be.

9:47 I love how JL not only had to take his headphones off but also tried to cover his nose and mouth with his shirt, like he could almost smell it. I know that feeling. When I worked in tech support, I once answered a call just as the woman on the other end was letting out a long, deep, gurgling burp. A little fun fact about this movies is if you have a certain DVD copy of the movie the menu screen will be of Harold and Kumar driving the car and every so many seconds they would say something dumplb or some kind of joking statement about the menu/movie. My favorite one is when Kumar said something like "i hope in the soecial features they have the deleted scene of you licking Freakshow's buttcrack".
