I’m super late but the movies never explain that Hermione spent a large portion of the summer break at the Weasley house where she bonded with Ron. During that time they both developed unspoken feelings. So when he kissed lavender it was a big hit in the gut for her. Since she felt that they both understood they had something special. Same with Ginny. Ginny is super cool in the books and she becomes very close to Harry, specially through quidditch and taunting Ron. Harry becomes very confused at first when his feelings change from true friendship to admiration to love. Specially since Ron doesn’t like the fact that Ginny is dating now.

I got to admit that this movie made Snape become my favorite character in the franchise.
