It's named Ravenclaw after the founder, her last name was Ravenclaw, which means "black claw" and raven claws is a term used to refer to eagles because they have black claws, I mean everyone always wants to criticize that Ravenclaw's symbol should be a raven just because it's in the name, but hardly anyone mentions Griffindor's symbol is a lion when it has griffin in the name, honestly the symbols for the houses are probably the family coat of arms of each of the founders families, even if it's not the founders probably weren't basing the symbols on the animal names in their name

1:56 I love how that's so confidently said... even though it's wrong. Lumos is not "Literally light". The latin word for light is "Lumen". "Accio" doesn't mean "I summon", it's more like "I fetch something". There are closer words for "I summon, I call to myself" like Voco (Call) Provoco (Call forth), Concalo (More literally "To summon") And, as the most obnoxious example, Levicorpus. No, it does not "Levi" your "Corpus". Because "Levi" doesn't mean "to lift". That would be Tollo. Lævis means "Lightweight" or "trivial"... Same goes for Wingardium Leviosa. Those aren't words in Latin. If that was Hermione, then I am Snape, and Mrs Granger needs to sit the fuck down, -6 points from the Gryffindor.

2:40 Oh there is a cool theory here The theory goes that his poor eyesight was not a natural disability, but a magical one in the same way his scar was. When he woke up in kings cross in deathly hallows, the 2 things he was missing was his scar and his glasses specifically which seems to imply that neither was a natural feature. This is important because damage caused by dark magic (werewolf scratches while not transformed, sectumsempra, etc.) is unhealable, which would apply to avada kedavra leaving the wand wave pattern of adava kedavra as a scar on Harry, and by extension, his eyesight. TL;DR: The wizarding world can most likely heal poor eyesight, but Harry's was curse damage so it couldn't be healed, and he never decided to wear lenses

Alright, SuperCarlinBrothers actually touched upon the whole thing with James's sacrifice vs. Lily's in one of their videos. The distinction is that Voldemort blasted James out of the way on sight, didn't give him the chance to step aside himself, whereas with Lily he repeatedly told her to stand aside, likely because Snape had begged him to spare her. Like, OK, yeah, he doesn't comprehend love, but when who he took to be one of his most loyal followers was begging him for this small favor, it's not surprising that he'd at least try it, but when Lily didn't stand aside, Voldy's all, "welp, can't say I didn't try. AVADA KEDAVRA!" And that's why Lily's sacrifice had the power that it did- she was given the option to stand aside, and she refused. James never had the option. He wouldn't have stood aside if he did, but regardless the decision never once fell to him.

I doubt an obscure fact that she was the first and only fourth place can really trump that Harry defeated the one of the most powerful dark wizards twice and ended the first and second wizarding war, bringing peace back to their society, when he defeated Voldemort the first time every wizard knew his name and every wizard child grew up hearing about him, just imagine how much more famous and beloved he became after he defeated Voldemort again, they called him the chosen one, they looked at him for guidance and hope during the second wizarding war and he lead them to victory and rid the world of a great evil, he's the champion of the wizarding war, but yeah sure you're right Fleur being the first and only fourth place in the Triwizard tournament trumps all of that, because we all know everyone knows about all the obscure sporting facts and anomalies in the world, yeah that's really common and important knowledge everyone knows

Voldemort is gone, fear will eventually evade. But Fleur is off politics. She cannot be downgraded more . She is always just Triwizard fourth champion.

@@Kelerion it doesn't matter at the end of the second wizarding war, Harry is such a hero and an icon that if anyone tries to throw shade at him it won't work because he is so loved and admired, even if some people do believe it Harry is still at the center of attention and getting a lot of press, and Fleur isn't getting the eternal glory from the Triwizard tournament because she lost, it was Harry that won lol she's even over shadowed by Harry in her one claim to fame, honestly you have to be pretty delusional if you think because Fleur has one obscure sports accomplishment that she is going to pass Harry Potter in fame, Harry literally changed the course of history he will be forever remembered and they will teach about him in school for centuries to come, the only people who will remember Fleur are the kids who want to get some extra credit on their homework about Harry Potter and research all who was in the Triwizard tournament with him and even then she would only get a mention and then soon be forgotten, I mean honestly what do you think is going to happen? Do you think people are going to just forget the wizard who saved the world and changed history because some girl no who has ever heard of or cares about lost the Triwizard tournament years ago? If she's apparently going to be so famous why isn't her fame mentioned in the books? How come she isn't constantly swarmed by fans and admirers ?
