My father, Dr. Harry Reeder, passed away on May 18, 2023. This is his Celebration of Life Service at Briarwood Presbyterian Church on Wed, May 24, 2023. Sola Deo Gloria
A service of celebration for the life and ministry of Dr. Harry L. Reeder, III was held at Briarwood Presbyterian Church on Wednesday, May 24 at 1:00 p.m. A reception followed in the Church Fellowship Hall.
In lieu of flowers the Reeder family requests that gifts be made to the Harry Reeder Scholarship Fund at Birmingham Theological Seminary or the Harry Reeder Memorial Fund at the National Christian Foundation or Westminster Theological Seminary.

Ike, Years ago I was speaking with Mike G. who had been a pastor. I said, I heard Frank Barker speak on Sunday. Mike asked, "Where did you hear Frank?" I said "Briarwood...Harry was out for a Sunday, Frank filled in..." He looked surprised and said, "...So Harry is at Briarwood...and Frank is at Briarwood? I said, "Yes..." He said, "That is very rare...usually the new Pastor can't handle having a founding Pastor around... It speaks well of Harry!"

I haven't heard of his death until now, and I don't know why. I used to go to church there for the first 18 years of my life, and I really admired him a lot. May he rest in peace, and may God take care of him in heaven.
