The lyrics of Better than Words are all song titles. That's what makes it so fun. Also, Harry wrote Happily and Don't forget where you belong. He also helped write Right Now and a few other ones but Louis and Liam did the most writing. They wrote my favorite song of all time, Through the Dark!

you talk about Shakira in Better Than Words... but if you read the lyrics, you will notice that the hole song is titles of another songs and the only "original" part is the chorus and (if i'm not wrong) the bridge

As a Niall girl, hearing any and all praise for Niall's vocals makes me smile like an idiot lol I feel like, in the first two albums, Niall either wasn't given anything or was given parts that didn't suit his voice. Niall has a beautiful voice if its used right and I think in this album, his voice was utilized in the best way possible, also his bridges in Why don't we go there and Half a Heart are my favorites. Their concert DVD from San Siro is the tour after this album. They also sing some of the older ones of course but it's mainly for Midnight Memories album and the concert is so so good. That was the clips I saw first in 2014 that made me fall in love with their music. And since it was my first discovery with One Direction I love this album. Story of my life was the song that brought me to them. Basically the only song of theirs I heard on the radio and they still play it from time to time. Great reaction! Thank you.

I've missed your 1D reactions!! I spend the whole time just nodding agreeing with you 😅 You really get it, the depth of their talent. You see each of their additions to the group. Diana is actually written for fans dealing with issues like suicide, depression, etc. I think its so sweet that the boys took the time to write the song and the meaning is much deeper and heavier than it seems at first.
