Thank you sir for your service. My uncle was 82nd airborne in 65,66,and 67. And he won't talk about it even though I'm a combat vet myself. I would love to interview him or find someone who served with him. His name is William Richard Goodson but goes by Richard. He's fairly decorated

Thank you for your service and for your respect. There's not much of it these days. Harry is my grandfather, and I always try to stand up for him in the face of ignorant people who still can't welcome vets home properly. It's so sad.

We served with returned 1st Air Cav and 25th Inf being warehoused at Ft Benning to finish out their hitches in 69 and 70....Drinking beer with a lot of them at night, and getting some war stories.. a person could get the sense of government subsidized lunacy,, on an industrial level...And don't know what those MP's were getting paid there,, but it wasn't enough..

Your story of stopping the dude from throwing the grenade to kill 2 us troops, I don’t think I believe you and if it is true, you should have had enough sense to take it to your grave.

I believe the gentleman myself I’m a veteran and I have seen worse as far as what dirt bags are capable of especially back years ago . But this man is a horrible man and a veteran that deserves our upmost respect .

Bullshit. This man was in Vietnam on base or quarter master duty. Too many drunken years at the VFW gleaning anecdotal yarns waiting for this camera moment. Stolen valor again. Disgusting. "Panji" sticks my ass.

This man is my grandfather. He was approached by the county to be in this video and he was honored. Don't deny the truth he had to live there. Don't invalidate his or experience or the experience of any other veteran. He's a good man, he wouldn't "weave yarns" for whatever intent you may be thinking of. Be respectful, and if you truly must be so negative about a person you know absolutely nothing about, don't post it on his video. Veterans can talk about their experiences without people like you stomping on it. God bless you

This man is also my grandfather. I don't believe you understand what he was saying. He WAS on the frontlines. Like 40 seconds in, it says that he went into 1st Infantry. He got exposure to Agent Orange in Vietnam and has 100% disability because of it and it has caused infertility in my family and I was born with cancer because of his encounter. So don't you dare criticize his story and judge him. He is a great man, grandfather, husband, and father. Have a good day and just remember to keep bad thoughts to yourself

Harry served his country honorably and suffered for it. FYI - He doesn't drink, nor does he sit at the VFW and make up stories. It's too bad that honorable men and women of our armed forces sacrifice self in order to serve their country, only to have ignorant people like you minimize or even deny what they went through. Shame on you. Your judgement will come. Good luck.

I grew up with this man. He is my best friend’s father. I’ve heard him tell stories about being there. Harry is a wonderful person and truly is a hero.
