Hands down. There's something special about carefully writing and producing a song just how you want it... But I think it's way way more fun and enjoyable to experience a piece of music that simply appeared out of nowhere, entirely unique and subject to the whims of each artist in on the collaboration... An improvised set is a fleeting and magical moment that will only happen once. And yet, each time another one happens it's just as magical as the rest.

Yeah Harry went to college for music and studied jazz/jazz improvisation, graduated with a degree in jazz drumming. He is a professionally trained and has been trained by numerous drummers/musicians. Tempo and rhythm is ingrained into his DNA practically so he doesn’t actually need to think or try to be on beat he will automatically, all this is how he is able to switch cadence at will

Fuck me, this is amazing. I mean it's all great but the segment starting at around 12 mins in through to the end is just pure joy for me. It reminds me of the early Beardyman stuff I've seen years and years ago with being rather minimal in his creation, but it's just gotten so much better. And then Harry on top and from the top, amazing as always... A whole show like this on a great PA would easily make it into my top 3 live music experiences ever. Most respect to both of you

Most of his live stuff he does online is on Twitch now but he toured this year. I went to 4 gigs because he's different everytime much like Mack and dope AF. The improvised rave stuff he does now is about as far ahead of the improvised game as Harry is. His Patreon is dope too. Well, tbf both of theirs are but nobody can compete with top tier improvisers on there really.

Yeah, Beardyman is a dope DOPE beatmaker, all on the fly using just his voice ran through a voice synthesising machine of his own creation..! He is also a mind-blowing beatboxer. Like H Mack, it's not just about the technicals with Beardyman, he knows how to rock a crowd!

I've been patiently waiting for this to drop. I was blessed enough to be one of the very few lucky souls to be in that little basement bar in London as one of Beardyman's guest list. Grateful is an understatement. Two stone cold legends in the improvised game.

@@RandDesu Luckily the barman made some fantastic whisky cocktails that settled me into it nicely but yeah. Literally my two favourite musicians (who are both right up there as favourite humans full stop for me) and I've been nagging about this collab since 2020 as a patron (on Patreon) of both so it was a massive deal for me. Still buzzing!

I think of a concert I went to about 30 years ago. It was Tribe Called Quest in a small little venue called Tramps in New York City... There's nothing like seeing great MCs in small venues. Memories that you'll never forget. The people that were there envy them 😉🤪

I saw Beardyman at Warehouse Project in Manchester UK. He had to mix in to a drum n bass DJ. No talking, pure rave. Truly mint. Calibration with Harry Mack makes all the sense. ❤️
