Жыл бұрынGoing back to Portland for some hometown Guerrilla Bars was special. Back in high school me and my crew used to go down to Saturday Market with a boombox and a bunch of classic breaks looped up on cassette. We’d find a spot to set up and start cyphering, at first just with each other, but then eventually people would take notice and crowds would form. Those were some of the first opportunities we had to test our skills out on total strangers and see what the reaction was. It was exhilarating. When I think back on it, those Saturday Market sessions back in the early 2000s were really the prototype for what became Guerrilla Bars. Seeing first hand how an off-top bar about somebody’s outfit, or a line about the trick a skateboarder just did as they passed by, could instantly elevate the energy and make everyone smile- that’s what this shit is all about for me. Shout out to Portland for shaping me into the person I’ve become, and for bringing such great vibes for this episode. Hope y’all enjoy!!

That last freestyle absolutely broke me. My dad just recently had a stroke and lost vision in both eyes and it's Been crazy stressful working a full-time job but also helping him doing everyday things. But that line "I opened two gifts this morning and they were my eyes" truly made me realize how lucky I am and how much I need to be there for him when I can be.

Your not alone. My dad had a stroke right when COVID hit. He lost his speech and is not able to walk on his own. I moved back in with my mom to help my dad recover. I completely understand what you are going through. I watch Harry Mack daily and he makes everything seem alright. I just wanted to let you know you are not alone. Peace ✌️

What an incredible experience it must be for him to have the ability to create so much joy wherever he goes. Just surrounding himself in an aura of positivity everyday and getting that response. Me in 2017: "HOW???" Me in 2023: "HOW???" I'm a lifelong Portlander who attended Harry's concert in Portland in early May when he was here and took the opportunity to attend the Meet and Greet. My friend and I got to meet him and all I can tell you is that he's as nice as he appears in all these videos. I have a day job but do performing arts on the side and Harry encouraged me to keep pursuing my craft. Harry is a down to earth real person who just happens to be the best in the world at what he does.

Just want to highlight the fact that Harry had every right to ask “so was it ass?” To the guy from the second free, but instead chose to just thank him for the props afterward. This is just one small example of Harry’s humility and desire to uplift people always. I see it and appreciate it.

I've been watching Harry Mack videos since the start of the pandemic more than 3 years ago, and normally I don't comment because what is there left to say about this amazing man? Harry Mack just keeps getting better and better and this is definitely one of his best videos. He finds a way to put a creative twist on the given words, still managing to surprise you. And I love the diversity of settings on this video, from large crowds, to a couple on a hike which harkens back to the guerilla bars from the early days, to a freestyle at the end for that guy and his audience, which gave me goosebumps. Thank you Harry Mack. You touch people with your bars but you yourself are untouchable.
