The whole point of having foreign talents included in groups is to ensure that they will actually have a fighting chance in an already condensed industry. Since KPOP is getting more popular globally, people from other countries tend to be supportive when someone from their own country is in a certain K-pop group. And artists being able to communicate in English to their English-speaking fans has brought on these changes with Korea now reaching out to the international market. The whole point is to raise and strengthen an international fanbase to give them leverage even if not many Koreans support the artists. Look at BTS, even if they don't have foreign members, they are thriving because of the massiveness of the ARMYs who are made of global fans. They are what makes BTS strong and what keeps them making money. In short, get a massive number of followers and you'll be okay. Isn't that how influencers work nowadays? So it doesn't matter if sasaengs don't like this or that group because they are not the only people in the world. International fans are kinder and more understanding of the groups they support.
