I'm from engineering background, got into IT company and was alloted SAP FICO stream. Been working for 1.6 years and have difficulty in understanding the accounting entries although I do understand the flow and how configuration works. I'm feeling stuck because of this, shall I put in more effort in learning accounting or work on some other skill alltogether ? Also will 11,12 standard commerce accounting knowledge enough for fico? Pls help

To become SAP Functional module ,relevant domain exp is required. Unless you have good knowledge on all ares of Finance its very difficult to perform in SAP FICO

As you have completed one training already , so prepare with 3 projects at least . Use your training Project ( which you have submitted during your training ) . One - S4 HANA - End to End - Manufacturing Company where you can show in detail , complete Product Costing & Profitability Analysis , Material Ledger including all Integration with Other Modules like , MM , SD , PP, CO etc ... Including all FI stuff Second- S4 HANA - End - to End - One service Company - Mainly you can show Profit Center Accounting , Segment Reporting , Document Splitting along with FI stuff 3rd - ECC to S4 HANA Finance - Migration . Use all these project case studies which you have completed in IDES . Once you have all these in your Resume , definitely the Interviewer will attract & offer you a good role . Dont go with any fake exp ,it will be very risky. . Use Your Training Project Portfolio You need One Greenfield Implementation One Roll Out Project One ECC to S4 HANA Migration All these must be completed during Your Training. Prepare Your Portfolio accordingly

Sir thank you for your opinion on fico.. actually i have 10 years exp in AP AR cash application, and certified Project manager. I am interested in SAP MDG my education is MBA finance. When i saw MDG job profile pple in linkdin mostly from Btech.. is it really difficult for accounts background guy to learn MDG . And whats the scope. Thanks in advance for your kind reply

There are SAP authorize & unauthorize training centers available in every city . No doubt SAP Partners ( authorize) are good as all standards maintained by SAP . Unauthorize training institute you have to visit them & check their quality from Past students etc
