There is a science to how high the ceiling of a house and the number of vent's and also insulation in the roof helps as many use tin roofing in the Phils. When we renovated our home in the province of Alaminos, we made those changes. The purpose is to evacuate heat fast as possible and at the same time we created vents that sucks out hot air. We don't plan on having AC exlclusively but just regular fan is enough for us.

I've been researching a move from US to SE Asia for 4 years. I'm in no hurry. I have never understood why so many (all) expat Tubers complain about the heat. There are several cool places in SE Asia to live. Is it people like to be close to beaches? Close to a Filipina's family and they're meeting Filipinas online so they get locked into a hot area? Cheaper? I never hear a reason. I've seen a couple Tubers travel to a place like Baguio and say how wonderful it is, say they should move there, and then they go back to wherever and back to complaining about the heat. Never an explanation of of why they choose to live in the hottest places on Earth. Just like to complain? Some build or rent houses that are in no way constructed for AC. Yeah, electric doesn't work in PH. Seems to me a house would have to be built to be completely off grid. Insulation doesn't seem to be a thing in PH despite needing AC 365 days a years. No shade roof above the house's waterproof roof. Makes no sense to me and never an explanation.

Turn the air con on. No need to complain
