You are forgetting the fact that in "Big Trouble Little Ninjago", multiple huge buildings fell down when the Colossus was attacking the city, and judging by Lloyd's line: "Think how many people will be made like you" and the Colossus easily destroying buildings in "Saving Faith", it's safe to say that Harumi at least killed over 100 innocent civilians

It's scary how much my friends and i "predicted" for Ninjago when we were kids... A friend of mine gave Nya the element of Water when S4 was the most recent one I let the Overlord return back when i was bored from S7. Shortly after S9 i let Harumi return too. We kinda gave the Ninjas abilities that were close to Coles weird ability from which i do not know the name of (Where his Hands glow Orange) back during S2 I could swear the Writers secretly stalked us when we were younger...

All this because Harumi blames the Ninja for the Devouer, even though it was Pythor who released the devouer, the same serpentine she recruited ironically. And goes to all of this trouble of bringing Garmadon and Overlord back in power, just so she could get revenge for the lost of her parents. Even in the end, she only decided to help the ninja just because the devouer was created by overlord.

Crimes I can think of: Organizing the sons of Garmadon as the Quiet one Orchestrating the deaths of the Royal Family and Hutchins Kidnapping Wu and Misako as part of her plans Emotionally manipulating and hurting Lloyd during most of their interactions, emotionally impacting and scarring him for several seasons Taunting to Lloyd that their was never anything between them romantically Resurrecting an evil version of Garmadon and broadcasts his defeat of Lloyd to Ninjago Tried killing his friends twice while making him watch(first with the Collosus in season 8 and the spider bombs in the subway tunnels in season 15) Enforcing Emperor Garmadons reign Worked for the Crystal King (Overlord) as his herald Recruited past villains to become the council of the Crystal king Bought vengestone from Vangelis to build an army for the Crystal king

The most annoying part of Harumi to me was the impact and implications of her being seen in a good light, ESPECIALLY WITH LLOYD That is abuse, that is just straight up emotional abuse based on Harumi guilting Lloyd into thinking he deserves everything that she does to him because of something he did when he was literally an elementary schooler This is a kids show at the end of the day, and I’ve seen kids argue that she and Lloyd are like, peak relationship partners and that’s terrifying to me! I was in a similar situation and I really saw myself in the way Lloyd tried to grapple with what happened, and seeing her just get away with everything is.. frustrating, to say the least.

Arin lost his parents to the merge only after that he wanted to be a hero so he joins the ninja. Harumi is the complete opposite. She lost her parents to GD making her a villain because of it. Two sides of each coin

I remember back in 2015 we had a pretty simmilar situation with Pythor being forgiven all of a sudden just because he helped defeat Chen. For some reason, everyone thought of him as completely redeemed and when DotD came they were confused why he was alongside the baddies again. But now with Harumi the situation is completely opposite, even tho I would argue that during s1-s3 Pythor did just as much damage as she did during s8,9 and 15. It's really interesting for me to see the fandom react to these two really simmilar plot points in two completely different ways.

1800s: Steal bread and you go to prison for life or get sent to the other side of the world Ninjago: You do all of this, ALL OF THESE CRIMES you mentioned, and you dont go to prison. If Harumi didnt go to prison the ninjago's legal system is the worst compared to every single country in the world, where is law and order?

One thing I don't get is when she saved that kid in the elevator and the parents were okay with that. Like I know she did have good intentions and all, but if I was that kid's mom, I wouldn't have let Harumi lead us anywhere, judging by how she terrorised the city. I am honestly fine with how they handled one aspect of Harumi’s redemption: Her reason for defecting. The Great Devourer took her parents from her. Realizing her new boss created that monster as part of his master plan gives Harumi a solid reason to join the Ninja in fighting him because with them, she has a chance of getting revenge. Afterwards though, I think Harumi would have tried to run off. Just because the Overlord made the monster that killed her parents doesn’t mean she has forgiven the Ninja who failed to save them.

8:40 i am glad someone else pointed that out. Season 2 garmadon, or more accurately after he grabs the mega weapon for the first time, is the only bad version of garmadon. Garmadon is good in every other season but season 2 he is just so bad. He has the strongest weapon and cant beat the ninja while acting like a child, case and point when he lost the race and started crying like a baby.

I am PRETTY SURE others have also lost their parents (Jay was left by his parents, Cole's mom died, Kai and Nya thought their parents left them, Lloyd was left by his mother and has trauma from Garmadon) and didn't commit even ONE crime. Harumi is such a pick-me who thinks that her life is unfair, only bringing pain to others. I see Harumi as one of the most evil villains in all of Ninjago, partly because of how realostic her brand of villainy is, she's so emotionally manipulative in a viseral way. And let's not forget she's come the closest of any villain to actually killing the Ninja at the end of SoG. She forced Lloyd to watch as his friends were crushed to death and showed absolutely no remorce for it. Of all the Ninjago villains, she is one of the ones who absolutely should not be redeamed with only the overlord alongside her. Her saving those people was soully about making herself feel better about her own trauma and because the devour specifically is the type of villain she doesn't want to be like, it's hard to imagine that the Crystalised writers so completely missed the point of her character. And the fact that they dragged her up just to ruin her when a compitent writer would have just made the vengestone buyer Pythor is just disrespectful.

Yes, Harumi is the most dangerous villainess and even worse criminal than Overlord. I believe she can takes over Ninjago(which is might not bad) if she isn't trapped in the sidekick-villain type of character. The writers seem to make a character that out of their control and gerne so they hadn't handled Harumi's redemption arc well. So i hope they do better in NDR. After all I'm Harumi's fan It's Overlord or Overload?

Honestly, I think crystallized should’ve had her sacrifice her life to defeat the Overlord, since not only would that be a fitting and for her character, but I also think that would be the best way to realistically redeem her. But, if she does have to survive for some later story, I think she should’ve handed herself over to the authorities willingly and spend some time in jail. Maybe at some point, due to a combination of Lloyd putting in a good word for her, good behavior, and perhaps she helps save Ninjago at a later point she could be given parole. Again, I think the best way for her character arc to end would’ve been a self-sacrifice, but there are ways to have a Villains survive, and redeem themselves while still facing consequences

Switching sides most likely changed her sentence from multiple death sentences/ banishment to another realm to just life imprisonment with a chance of parole like very tiny chance 1 in 8000 shiny Pokémon odds chance. Well we never see harumi in dragons rising including the flashbacks so maybe she got arrested or whatever. Edit: I now undo what was above she deserves every charge against except for the death sentences prior to her falling to her death in season nine since she technically died but she still doesn’t get away with everything she did in crystallized.

Also for all the villains that turned good or just were not evil anymore harumi is the worst because of the amount of crimes she committed Morro, the serpentine tribes(the first four) all turned good garmadon or neutral for the snakes since they didn’t do much after season 3 besides getting assaulted by the ninja well garmadon was sort of forgiven but he was just on parole and wanted to be good but someone on the writing team hated Lloyd for no reason by making him an awful person to garmadon and just forgiving harumi for attempting to kill him multiple times it’s just ridiculous garmadon only tried to kill Lloyd like five times in season eight and nine and Lloyd is just not trusting he sounds more like movie Lloyd or whatever.
