Harvesting our crops throughout the year on our dairy farm in Saskatchewan, Canada.
This year we finished our new free stall barn, and lagoon. We also kept busy by making feed for our cows. We made 3700 alfalfa hay bales from up to 3 cuts. We silaged alfalfa, barley and corn. And combined barley and canola.
We do our best to make quality feed for our cows so they stay healthy and provide the best quality milk.

Wow this shows how different Farming styles are all around the world. We love in New Zealand on 386 ha and milk 538 cows currently. We only grow grass and animals are kept outside all year it is quite stunning how different it is.

Still not very profitable. our milk is much easier to produce in a sense that we can produce much more milk with smaller land area. Also the company that buys 90% of the country's milk is a cooperative owned by the farmers so we get more say in the milk price than other countries

I know what a cooperative is we have them also here I am a member to of a cooperative only then of a fower auction But the milk price is not so low more or am I wrong You have a dutch man as director of frontere if i am good informed

joshua sharpe you guys are lucky there, here in Alberta I'm buying land with barns already on it so when it gets down to -40 to -50C with a -70+ wind chill the animals don't freeze

Tennessee Hillbilly we have supply management for milk, eggs, chicken and turkey in Canada so farmers don't get subsidies but they do ok. For milk, farmers get half of the sale price. We hope your farmers can get a similar system. We don't export milk but there will always be milk 👍

Great video as always! I've been following You for like 4 years now, and i always wondered, if You don't mind sharing, how many people does it takes to run farm that big on daily basis, i mean milking and feeding and all that has to be done daily, and do You guys need to hire some help for harvest? I myself run small farm in Poland, only about 70 hectares (i belive thats around 170 acres), i don't have milking cows, just cattle for beef, and i do all the work by myself plus my father helps me. Would be nice if You could answer, always wondered how is it on farm such big as Yours.
