Oh by the way of the three rabbits you sold me the little black female is the most friendly, meet me at the door every day and wants to cuddle and go for walking rides , all three like fresh carrots out of the garden, upgrade in one of my cages to a 30 x 36 definitely a better size, will upgrade all in the future , also used your video to build hide houses which they seem to like.😁 Notice their new favorite place to rest are on top of the Hide houses, better view I reckon.

Thanks for listening -I’ve seen people get booed off the stage in the MSU bars some of those kids are brutal. I enjoyed playing music when I was younger and full of energy. I was completely aware I was average at best(good enough to not get booed off the stage) I was fortunate to play music with some really talented musicians but it’s such a tough business even when you’ve got what it takes you still need to get discovered. Today there’s KZfaq and young people finally have a platform to play and sing for the world. Most importantly, learn any instrument or technique. It’s exciting to think about all the talent that’ll be discovered.

I have a new buck that I know has good genetics (I had gotten my doe bred and bought him for future breeding) but he doesn't have a pedigree. I plain on keeping a doe that also shows those good genetics and is black to replace her aging mother. I should be able to sell the babies for alot saying that his half sister got grand champ in fair. I just hope my doe will still be firtle when I breed them.

@@TheRabbitryCenter Thanks for your kind encouragement. With help from a friend, I completed the tote system this weekend. We did a work-around, surrounding the totes with hay bales, inside the barn, instead of burying them. This allowed us to make the connection only three feet long. We are in Missouri, so our winters are not as brutal as yours I think. Hopefully the rabbits will be warm enough, but for now they are happy to be out of the wind. My buck took 30 seconds of sniffing before going through the pipe. The junior (3 months) had to be removed from her cage to stop her from going up and down while we were installing it. Only the doe was hesitant, getting half way down before backing out - but only once. Five minutes later she went all the way. For anyone out there needing a longer connection, I would recommend the 6 inch corrugated drainage pipe. It was easy to cut and install, and is washable when needed.

Man, You are good musician! If any you guys are considering a new breed of purebreds, try to find Silver Fox rabbits. Their genetics can be confirmed visually...if they are not purebred, their fur wont stand up when brushed backwards. They are the only breed with stand-up fur. They are meat and fur rabbits AND make great PET rabbits. They get up to 12 lbs and are very docile. Plus they are still kind of rare, so asking 100 bucks for a proven doe is reasonable. Their kits will get 70 a piece, easily.

This tool dispatches your rabbit instantly Simply place the rabbits neck in the crotch of the tool and pull on the hindquarters. This is an instant death. This works by dislocating the head from the neck. For more info watch this video- m.kzfaq.info/get/bejne/ppd1jLGLla21lJs.html

Are there any common genetically inherited diseases in rabbits? Some decades ago I bred Boerboel dogs (I was on KZfaq before most other people) and I abandoned dog breeding due to the prevalence of genetic conditions where the pavement mutt was the healthiest dog of all with the most highly bred dogs the polar opposite.

Rabbits are pretty hardy in general. Not as much funding has gone into the rabbit market therefore there hasn't been as many studies or conclusive evidence. The verdict is still out if certain genetic conditions are hereditary. Conjunctivitis (nest box eye)being one of them. Not knowing what could be hereditary it's best to stick to the healthiest rabbits and when breeding for the most favorable characteristics not forgetting to maintain some diversity or at least outcrossing when needed(experiencing health problems) to prolong the health of your lines. Breeding mutts can be very productive but when selling Rabbits customers are looking for certain temperament and breed expectations for that reason they're a hard sell.

@@TheRabbitryCenter Thanks for the informative answer. From watching hundreds of KZfaq videos it appears that deformities are mostly associated with prolonged inbreeding. Where I live in South Africa importation of any new rabbit stock is prohibited to prevent introducing either myxomatosis or Viral Hemorrhagic Disease. The problem is that there is a fair amount of genetic diversity in the NZ White since it is a prevalent breed but significantly less genetic diversity in breeds kept by only a few breeders and in some cases only one or two breeders. The pandemic has had a severe impact both on the tiny but rapidly expanding meat market as well as exotic breeds and the pet trade alike with almost no shows since 2019 and a number of key breeders either significantly reducing their stock or saying they had enough. This causes the problem of either geographic silos developing where the same breed has different characteristics depending on location or where in an effort to prevent that, exchanging genetic material causes everyone to eventually breed with the same gene-pool. For new entrants it therefore becomes a consideration to stick to the breeds with the most active breeders which in turn puts even more pressure on breeds such as the Angora rabbit with a handful of breeders all interchanging the same genetic material. Unfortunately the money is just not there in the niche breeds to utilize the importation of sperm or embryos for artificial insemination.

Hey Bobby congrats on 10k subs much appreciation from Kenya, Africa. I recently purchased a trio from a rabbitry here. The farmer sold me two pure newzea white doe but the buck was some sort of California white but with greyish blue spots instead of black. Did he scam me? And should I get another buck?

When a breeder introduces a different purebred color rabbit into a breeding line that already has a different color the offspring can have slightly off white rabbits or pointed patterned rabbits or dark eared or even broken if it's in the bloodline. They can still be purebred. I'd see what kind of litters he produces.

They’re good tunes. There’s some songs I’d call “ultimate classics”that stand the test of time and when I played solo acoustic shows I’d attempt to find, learn & play about 80-100 of them. These songs appeal to the masses and wagon wheel and country roads are two that are on my list and in my experience, are well-received at every bon fire or solo show.
