Great comeback and result. However, another home game where we've conceded three goals. Defending must improve. Pope's been a much bigger miss than I thought he would be, if only for how much more settled the Defence is when he's playing

Of course MOTD2 had to mention the 2nd February 1997 comeback with shearer being on, shearers hat-trick in 1997 was the exact same goal times as Saturday when we came back from 1-3 down against Leicester to win 4-3.

Gordon again amazing but Barnes has to be POTM as without him that would not have happened. Lewis Hall was amazing when he comes on. He has to play him more, he's ready.

I agree Lewis Hall is THERE He's just crying out for a run in the side as is Barnes. Harvey with his lightning pace and eye for goal is a dangerous deadly option for the Toon. Eddie simply needs to find a way for both to get into the team as it's a better side with them in it. Maybe switch Gordon to RW or free role which was where he played second half today. I love young Lewis Hall, especially going forward with pace and skill. Defensively he can improve but that would oniy come with games Bring it on now Everton Tuesday is a winnable match. Come on Eddie Give Hall and Barnes their start They're far better than Murphy and Burn can play CB now with all the injuries alongside Schar. Hoping Tino is fit enough for RB as Tripps ain't recovered yet and Krafth while decent is not the answer

To be fair Gordon won both of those penalties. I generally prefer to think of a foul being committed rather than a free kick or pen won, but Gordon was very clever to position himself just right to get both of those. As good as two goals. Brilliant

Hall was incredible. Anderson is one of our best players that actually progresses the ball forward, most of them pass side ways and backwards but Anderson actually starts attacks. The fact that miggy came on before Barnes had me going mental but thankfully howe was forced to play barnes and he is clinical and oozes end product. Hall, Anderson and Barnes must start vs Everton otherwise eddie can do one for all i care. Those 3 players have class and they want to show it. If eddie picks his favourites then he needs to be sacked.
