Almost every ESPN 'expert' picked the Mavs to win the title because Tatum and Brown lost in 2022 and weren't as clutch as Kyrie and Luka who those same experts said were the possibly the two best closers of all time. The idea that Tatum doesn't get criticism.. you have commentators on your channel constantly talking about how Tatum shoots too many tough shots and makes things too hard for himself. He's never mentioned as MVP and players like Luka are always put ahead of him. He led the team in points, assists and rebounds in the playoffs, was the only Celtic to show up in game 4 and was the best player in game 5..and wasn't voted MVP mainly because a number of ESPN voters voted for JB. ESPN then being incredulous that he says he's always criticized.. classic ESPN fence sitting.

Stop with the cap man. The criticism towards him and JB came from ESPN, the entire playoffs they create the narrative that Boston was winning just because of the injuries, but they didn't say the same in 2022 when in the finals Smart, Brown, Rob Williams and Tatum all were playing injured and Celtics fan didn't use it as excuse. Last year game 7, Tatum sprained his ankle and was injured in the first minute the narrative was like the Heat won against a heathy Celtics team. They hyped the Knicks for eliminating Philly with Embiid playing on one leg, hyped the Pacers to be able to beat the Knicks full of injuries but when it was the Celtics "they're only beating injured teams" like injuries aren't part of the game and be available is also a skill. They were the ones first saying Boston should trade either Brown or Tatum. They were saying Boston couldn't win against a team from the West, in 35 games against the west including playoffs Boston record is 27-8. They criticised Tatum the entire playoffs harshly like he was playing bad, the only thing that was missing was his efficiency shooting while he was leading the team the entire playoff's run in Points, Rebounds, Assists and ask to guard 1 to 5 after KP injury. Now they acting like no one criticised Tatum and the all Celtics team unfairly.
