Regarding vaccination verification, it’s a good safety precaution if there are immunocompromised people present! Multiple friends of mine (who were double/triple vaxxed and wearing masks except to drink water) have gone to in-person events where nobody was masked and vaccinations were not checked, and ended up in the hospital fighting for their life because they all caught covid. We’re a very small minority so I get why we’re often overlooked, but we’re still out here stressing and struggling 😪

Levy is a smart and really interesting guy in many aspects and literally the biggest chess person on the internet. I wish they talked more about specific more relevant topics and went a bit deeper into them, rather than what felt like random things mostly. Also, even if they asked him if he wanted coffee and he said no, they should've at least had a bottle of water for their guest.

Hasan is 100% correct imo about robots. OpenAI launched a dota2 aI like 10 years ago and one problem it has is that the "board" is too complex, so the other player can just exploit the ai by doing unconventional things. It's the same issue with chess vs go. Chess robots were very good 2 decades ago, while Go robots are a lot more new if I recall correctly. And it's because Go is a game with a lot more possibilities than chess. The same goes to basketball. Yeah the robot can have a 100% accuracy, but how it will get the ball? How it will avoid a block? respond to a rebound, etc? Will it be even able to pass a NBA player? That's so many more layers of complexity above what they are doing with the spiderman bot: Be aware of where you are and react accordingly to land safely, or with a bot that has insane accuracy. Without a significant breakthrough like using different materials, or allowing for faster/more powerfull processing with less weight. We are very behind of having a robot that plays at NBS levels
