Just so you know alcohol pads can Quickly easily remove the brown paint on the grips without damaging the wand in any sort of way. Do not try to remove the big silver patch on the rear tube part because it has a clear coat over it. You can remove any other silver weathering on the rest of the wand with the alcohol pads though. hope this helps!

My biggest issue with the orange tip is that it's not even remotely accurate in shape either. It should just be a ring with the banjo fitting, and the perspex tube should extend out a bit. I modified one of my spengelers to be an 84 wand and it's something I changed immediately

I like that they have the brown weathering on the grips, I just don't like the execution. I'll repaint them, and weather them myself. I have the Harsin snap-on grips on my Spengler wand, and really like how my paint job on those turned out, so I'll just do the same here. Gotta say, though, these grips just feel so much better than the Afterlife wand. As far as the Clippard goes, longer is indeed more correct. The actual Clippard valves are longer (and wider) than even the one on the 84 wand. I think the Clippard on the 84 wand is the same as the one on the HasLab pack (which is also longer than the one on the Spengler wand). I've added real Clippard valves to my pack and Spengler wand. Will do the same for the 84 wand. Not only does it make a visual difference, it gives the wand a bit more heft. I'm always a fan of adding some weight to lightweight props. Makes it feel less like a toy. But it's amazing the toys we're getting, and how easily they can be modded into higher quality props. Can't wait for the trap and meter. What a time to be a lifelong Ghostbusters fan. 😁

I prefer the Spengler's version of the Neutrona wand personally; I like that it looks like it was cobbled together from random bits and parts found in a garage, and I like the weathering. The new 1984 version looks too "clean" and too much like a toy IMO...and the orange tip just bothers me 😅 Both are still awesome, but I ❤my Spengler's one (complete with silver tip) 😍. Who'dathought the 2020's would be some of the best times to be a Ghostbusters fan! 👏

I got the Spengler's Neutrona Wand when it was released because I liked the lighting and sound effects but I really didn't like Afterlife. I wanted to like it, but you either do or you don't. I was tempted to modify the Spengler's Wand to look more like the Ghostbusters original, but I eventually decided to just sell it to someone who'd appreciate it more than me and hope a 1984 version comes along, which it did so I'm glad I waited. So yeah, this is the one I've been waiting for. I saw Ghostbusters at a movie drive-in with my family when I was 10, so it's difficult to appreciate the more recent Ghostbusters media. It's one of the downsides of becoming an old fart.

I don’t mind the orange tip. It’s easy to change and cover over and I got the snap on one from the pack so I don’t matter but compared to the OG silver tip the orange tip wands are the improved version. The silver tipped wands didn’t have protection on the barrel wires and would snip them wrecking the whole light sequence in the barrel. The orange tips fixed that. Not completely but it will only happen if you spent time popping and closing it for hours. But I had the og silver tip wand and it only lasted 3 months before it clipped the wires. I had it on display for 2 of those and only popped the barrel about 8 times and that was enough to ruin it. Not all og wands have done this but many got the short end of the stick on it. I would’ve snagged one of these but it’s more £/$ for less really. The electronics are exactly the same. The only difference is the front moulded button is red, clippard is sized better, hat light is black and not orange like the Spengler wand and the grips with the 89 weathering. Personally not going to bother as my Afterlife wand I can easily convert between 1/2, afterlife. But on top of your point of if Hasbro made the goggles I would either go with the giga meter like you say or the newly shown wrist mounted thrower (I like to call it the “neutrona gauntlet”

As much as I love this thing I wish they just took it a step further and changed the tip to be 1984 accurate, but then again Ill probably just mod it lol

i dont understand why hasbro made a removable orange tip that came with the pack so why not just leave the tip of the wand the accurate color and just include the removable orange tip?? wtf

If they release a 1984 proton pack, the Goggles might be included with it...

I went to the comicon in october and I was in full Ghostbusters gear... and I had to have my pack checked out and they put an orange tiewrap on my wand...

I loved the video game

I really need to watch the Ghostbuster film. One day.....😅
