I remember being around 10 - 11 years old and writing a complaint to hasbro about their poor quality figures, telling them to “stick with board games” 😂

I can't lie they are nostalgic a bit. Imo Hasbro's figures were good for kids, but Mattel is way way better for collectors (and kids). Obviously though it could just be my nostalgia taking over a bit 😅

Hard to believe this was one of the better Jurassic World figures back in 2015, and the only Jurassic Ceratosaurus figure for some time. I couldn't believe it when Mattel delivered their first attempt in 2018 for the release of Fallen Kingdom, and now look where we are with the HC released a few years back. Look how far we've come since.

Ik having small/proportional teeth is a good thing, but those teeth look way too small

This one was okay. It was nice to have a Growler that actually stood on its own. It definitely has its flaws, but given the impossibly low bar Hasbro set for this line, the Ceratosaurus is one of the better ones.

I have to say that i really love the box design artwork for Hasbro JW toyline. Even though the toys they did were terrible. But the box that Hasbro makes give me a feeling of the toys from the Gift Shop in the Jurassic World theme park on Isla Nublar. which is a props they used for made the movie.

The closest two to the Hasbro version is the Hammond Collection and Dino Escape one

I remembered I wanted to figure for so long and now that I have the hammond collection ceratosaurus, the Hasbro ceratosaurus just feels so outdated

the 2015 box art/style guide is possibly the best part of the merchandise from back then. It's so iconic and really pretty, and miles and miles better than the dominion one, that's for sure. And althoug i do love the classic printed logo gimmick, i think Mattel mede the right call to sculp the logo under the dino's feet

Oh I still have my hasbro 2015 figs, and I regret SO MUCH. Don’t get me wrong, I like them at all, but Hasbro is not like Mattel, they didn’t think about the quality, the figures barely can stand alone, and rubber figures start to tear over time.

Ah I remember those days when I used to play with hasbro’s hideous abominations of toys and now that I see them as a teenager I realize that I am glad that Mattel took that license to make Jurassic toys because hasbro was so bad at making Jurassic world toys.

Hot take: The Hasbro Cerato was at least on par with the first few Ceratosaurus that Mattel put out. Every Cerato from the Roar Attack line onward was better than this though.

I remember when I got this dino, I thought it was one of the best Dinosaurs of hasbro and looked amazing.. and then Mattel body slammed it all

I would prefer if Mattel DOESN'T do the JP or whatever stamp on the legs or tails. It was ok for the time during Kenner, but I think a lot more people are fine without them, I hate to say it as a major Kenner fan. And it would be now be a bit unsightly and preferred ti not be there And I don't wanna hear anything about the pull up scan tags, so many of you, Andy especially, forget they're even there

@@tokensdeez you're right, I do forget about them. I think that's mostly because I'm just so used to them now that I don't pay attention to it anymore. You're also right about the stamp on the legs. Mattels stuff is probably better without that.

I’m kinda confused here. Do u like the pull up scan tags or do u hate them. For me, idm them. I personally feel that they are quite satisfying to pull out and push back in

Hasbro dedicated most of their budget to those _overly_ cartoony “Hero Mashers” for this whole line, I’m convinced. It _could_ explain their _lousy_ *excuses* for “JW” main line figures (like this one here, though I will admit that _this_ particular one isn’t _that_ bad IMHO).
