Your 87 StayPuft is just a little warped, from either storage or production. Using near boiling water to soften him, and reset his molding before you shove him in a freezer for a couple mins to bring his temp back down to hold the stance. Also if you sit the 87 figures outside for 8hrs a day for at least a week, it'll help restore their colors from the yellowing that happened from hot storage and CFL lighting.

I’m a subscriber 100% I’m not a fan of the new hard Slimer, but it’s possible the chemical for the softer feel is not a healthy option🤣 Discovered your channel while looking for the complete cartoon series for my son, unfortunately the current DVD collection is missing episodes. I’m looking into the ITunes digital series!

One other thing,both my kenner green ghost and staypuft looked quite old and likely discolored, and i found that magic eraser worked wonders!!!

Mcdonough walmart has peter,egon,ray,and winston,as well as green ghost and staypuft too,they were practically falling off the shelf the day i went! They were 12.99 ea. and well worth that price for the nostalgia alone!!

Hi, I have 3 walmarts all about a mile or 2 from my house in different directions. One store had a shelf full of just slimmer and stay pufft and the other 2 had full shelves of the heros. I was able to purchase 2 of each from the collection, one set to display on card and the other set for my son to open and play with.

My friend found all the heroes for me but yeah, no green ghost or stay puft yet.

Do you have any idea if Walmart has these listed under the same price tag/master sku as the other ghostbusters figures? Or what the shipping packaging says on the outside? I know that the original 4 ghostbusters all have unique UPCs, but ring up under the same master SKU. Every Walmart I've been to has the same price sticker on the hooks and doesn't differentiate between the Stay Puft/Slimer pack vs the Ghostbusters one

Stay Puft seems the most changed of all the figures.

I stopped by a few different WM's, and one had all 4 Ghostbusters, but didn't have Slimer or Stay Puft. Looks like just random WM's got boxes of these Ghostbuster reissues. Though I say "reissues", they are more like recreations as it's apparent they built new molds for these.

after 3 decades, i confirm the slimer i bought in a general store as a kid was a knock off, from this video review...same packaging but the Slimer figure was plasticy...id definitely get this one to close that book right...

I’ve yet to find any of them. Been using BrickSeek, and even at the stores they’re supposed to be in stock at, nothing. I swear I recall the Slimer being more rigid in the 80s. I definitely had one with a broken inner mouth, anyway. I feel like it might have been something they changed in later releases or has changed over time.

Slimer did not have an official name in the 1984 film, rather he was just called the "green ghost". He was given the name during the cartoon, and this carried over into Ghostbusters II. So he is now known as Slimer in pop culture. That's probably why the figure was called "Green Ghost".

The more I think about these rereleases, the more convinced I become that the orignal moulds must be lost or worn out; if they weren't then presumably it would be cheaper and easier to reuse them than to reverse engineer new sculpts (?)
