I was 5 years old when it aired. I can still remember the sensation of watching it. I was one of the lucky few that got optimus for christmas.

I wasn't 5 years old, I was about 9-10 years old. But I was ecstatic, super excited, happy, and surprised to get Optimus for Christmas. Especially because back then, it had only been a year since my mom and brothers had emigrated from Nicaragua. And when we arrived, none of us knew a lick of English! My sister had already been living in New Orleans for about a year because she had left with my grandmother. This is because at the time there was a civil war going on there. So to make a long story short, my mom was a college graduate in Nicaragua, which basically meant nothing in the US at the time and she didn't even know English. She had 2-3 jobs at the time just to make ends meet as a single mother with 4 kids. So in a nutshell, even though I wanted Optimus Prime more than anything else, I never expected that I'd actually get it. 49 years old and I'm still the biggest Trasformers fan. AUTOBOTS, LET'S ROLL OUT!!!!!

his s a remix of the Lion cover they just replaced Unicron with the Decepticons. it's the Extended remix since before the Claster films class of '86 trilogy both boys toys lines only had short jingle themes with MLP G1 having the longest theme song.

I love this. It's faithful. It's made as if it sounds exactly as if it was made in the 1980's! It feels like an extension of the original theme rather than a remix.

I’ll be going to the movies tomorrow to see the original 4 polite episodes of G1 in theaters, I’m excited! Happy 40th anniversary to this amazing franchise. Even tho I’ve only been a fan for 8 months, I still love these car robots. I wish I grew up with it (I don’t know why I didn’t. Heck, I was obsessed with cars growing up. And Ive always had a soft spot for robots, so…yeah, I don’t know how they didn’t cross my radar until recently) great remix btw, it’s a bop!

So where is a 40th anniversary remastered blu ray release of the series? IF original negatives exist it could be epic. If not upscales when done right are amazing. Worst case SD on blu ray offers a ton of episodes on disc and potentially better bit rate than DVD so convenience and quality win win.
