as an amateur and frankly not a particularly good photographer.... I simply had no choice. I got X2D for all sorts of reasons, ergonomics, stunning looks, the menu system, the quality of the images etc etc , but I didn't need to justify what is a simple superb camera. simply superb!

So a mark II version of this camera will be an X2D2

Truly a work of art

I’ve had it for less than a week . It is phenomenal. This is the camera I was that was available when I got the X1D II, September 2019. That being said, I’ve had well over 45,000 photos with the X1D II and 907/CFV II system. After a few days, I’m loving the quality of the X2D using the XCD 38 and 55 lenses.

Great video and review especially having some guests to provide their feedback, sample pictures and overall understanding of what Hasselblad is to the photography scene as opposed to other major brands. The fact HB specializes in one one concept with this model is by far the best route they went. I'm sure they could knock it out of the park if they made just a camera strictly for videos, but then again that is what DJI is for.

I like what this new camera offers over the x1dii model but would like to see it in a 50 megapixel model. 100 megapixels is far too much for my needs.

Love my X2D but where is my white balance dropper and when might we get it.

I have the original X1D Moon Edition. While I like many things about it, it's a bit buggy. I'm looking forward to the X2D. It looks like Hasselblad has made a good camera great.

This new camera doesn’t have face or eye detection apparently. That’s a major oversight on a new camera in 2022! Apart from that, love this thing! Maybe Hasselblad can add eye and face detection in a future firmware update…they really needs to! Until then, Fuji’s MF MILCs have the edge, in AF speed as well. None the less, this is still a very sexy looking camera! As mentioned here. With the brand cache of Leica.

If you want a beautifully made fun camera to capture your daily life and travel plus your creative works, will you get a Leica M11 with 28mm or Hasselblad X2D with 38mm? I like Hasselblad X1/2D design but I feel like it still a similiar exoeriebce to any standard interchangable dslr/mirrorless where you rely on the camera to do the job for you, you just take care the composition and at most just manual setting here and there, which at the end, just a more advanced photography than your full auto computational phone camera or just a camera made for work; while for Leica M system, you see thru a rangefinder to align the center images to focus, and most setting are manual, you feel like you are the one craft and made that image, isn't it? Or these feeling gone and means nothing after you own and use them for months and the image quality meant everything? Can I hear some opinion from you guys, which system is actually more fun to shoot with for non professional work? Also, why no silver body like the original X1D? It looks more classic and the elegant design is clearer to admire!

::Question for The Camera Store:: Will Hasselblad be updating the current XCD lens line to be like the new XCD "V" lenses? Just curious, as I'm interested in the XCD 21 f/4 but dont want to buy it if it will be upgraded to something smaller, lighter, faster to focus & more durable shutter....

Thanks for your review, great as always. Very good idea to pull some Hasselblad users in for their view 😀 I love the push up dial on the X1D II especially for the direct access to custom profiles, that are now hidden deep into the menu system, and you can’t even see what profile is active. Also sad the crop modes are gone, miss the XPAN setting. But then there are so many other great things about this new model, but for now I’ll keep both of them. Greatest update for me is the IBIS. Shooting a lot on adapted lenses, this makes a huge difference. The design of these cameras is what make me go out and be creative, and you can walk a whole day with it in your hand and not get tired, the best camera in my hand - ever. A médium format camera with 100mp and no trigger. I wonder if the people at DJI actually ask any photographer. Using the phone is useless and the perfect way to drop the phone or lose it. They could have gone innovative and use the smart watch , but even that will not be as convenient as a trigger (Aldo it will work ). They also removed GPS that could be a thermal issue , but more likely as cost saving devotion and DJI is desperate to recover the investment on Hasselblad. They could have added support for the external system they had for the X1d 1 but nothing about that form Hasselblad.

Lovely people, but this turned into the big sell. I don't think you need to with this beautiful camera.
