@@viktor2204 It's all an act for the performance lol, how can you not see that? They act really unnaturally in their interviews. Hatari translates to "hater". They're talking about how they hate meeting people in the interview and to avoid that they only go to stores at night.. this is satire. It's to get that "Hatari" persona for the act.

I share their thoughts on capitalism and/or the elite. Im guessing they chose a very good year to take part in Icelands selection as Eurovision is held in Israel. The only thing better would be USA but they are not taking part. I hope they win in Iceland. Hatari clearly do not care about what people think of them so I hope they dare to speak up and show people what the truth is. I interpret Hatrið mun sigra as a satirical song about how we are all naive and blind to what is actually going on in society. Lyrics like "Comprehensive Deception" and "Europe collapses" are on point.

Clearly, they're right on the verge between Industrial, Goth, and Glam. And I didn't even know these styles of music were bordering each other! ^^ But the only other band I know who manages to stay in their roles all the time, even during interviews, is the Glam Metal band Steel Panther. I was already wondering how they were planning to "end capitalism" by participating in an event as commercialised as Eurovision... but after seeing this, I'm not sure anymore what of the things they say you can take at face value to begin with :D ! So go ahead, Iceland, this would definitely be a daring and funny, in short: an entertaining choice! And that's something this year's season is in dire need of.

I am personally very pro Capitalism and anti-Communist, and I knew Hatari was pretty much anti-capitalist but I still really enjoyed their song. I now respect them even more if I’m honest, and I really hope they win.
