I was there in person and it sounded pretty similar. River Works has great acoustics. Also, this was done by hate5six and I doubt Sunny let someone else touch is work. Not even Will Putney.

Im just amazed how clear they sound DESPITE the mic being cupped. Hes gotta be using some kind of weird hand placement or a focused hyper cardioid mic or a combo of both.

Not really overlooked. They haven‘t put themselves out there on the map with barely an EP, album and recently a split with Cult Leader. As all members have other main/touring bands it‘s not easy to get yourself known, but they are growing. They had a run of successful shows here in Europe which helps them grow even further. I agree, they fill the void of Nails perfectly.
