@@cherakeemiddleton1543 One of my personal HC favorties from Japan is Sand, specifically the album Spit on Authority. Another good one for Japanese hardcore is Straight Savage Style. For straight death metal, Coffins is insanely hard, and if I remeber correctly the band Eroded had some insane breakdown riffs for a demo released in 1992 (I could be mistaken as far as dates are concerned).

Pits seem so wide open anymore. I remember going to shows in 2006 to about 2013 and I feel like pits were a lot tighter. Though it’s understandable because now that I’m in my mid-30s going to shows there is a lot bigger concern of the fact that I could actually get hurt. I didn’t really have those concerns when I was in my early teens and into my mid 20s

It’s a pork pie snare, not sure which model exactly. I’m no expert, but if I were to give you advice on how to get that sound, try cranking both the bottom and top heads, but make sure to crank the bottom one a little more than the top. Sounds like he has both tuned super high
