This bands been through a lot with me.. 6 years of straight edge, 12 years of addiction, 5 years of recovery, and 1 year of being a new Dad. I can't think of a better soundtrack for my life..

Everything in moderation. Straight edge for 25 years. Now I drink every night. I don't get drunk. I enjoy just enough to fall asleep. I have never been happier. My Syracuse wife used to date one of the dudes in Earth Crisis. She went vegan at age 9. I was the roadie for Shelter and 108 and big into the Krishnacore scene. I am only addicted to the internet, but about to cancel that as we move off grid and expand our homestead as civilization is about to collapse. It's a controlled demolition. Only the strong will survive.

@@SimonB. it's a thin line ya know, because after going so long without trying something like alcohol or drugs, at the moment who the people like the straight edge dudes try them, many people lose control because they don't know how to handle it and they become addicted. best example of that is mitch lucker from suicide silence,that dude was straight edge and died drunk in a motorcycle accident at the age of 28.

However many times hardcore comes in & out of fashion & however many complicated bullshit little sub genres come out of hardcore, Dwid & Integrity will ALWAYS keep hardcore real & exactly the way it should be. I grew up with hardcore & it got me through a lot of rough & difficult times & Integrity was a big part of the soundtrack to my life.

Me too. The streets, the habit, the divorce, the county, the joint...INTEGRITY, since I first heard them in 1991, have consistently been a part of my life, and hardcore in general since my first show, CIRCLE JERKS in 1986. Hardcore ruined my life and saved it.

i’ll be going to the cold as life reunion next month, and it’ll be my third time seeing integrity. they are hands down my favorite band. words can’t express how grateful i am for this music. their skull is on my elbow and “hollow” is underneath my left eye.

The cleveland hardcore scene of the mid 90s was so under rated. Integrity, ringwurm, Ascension, skipline, bipolar, puncture wound, chalkline, commited, confront, and so many more. While I dont consider them hardcore at all, Chimaira was from cleveland and got their start in some of the aforementioned bands. There was never a shortage of shows to go thats for sure.
