Exactly. Trump and Biden were equally awful debaters. Truth is, it wasn't even a debate by academic standards. Biden has done amazingly well as president and clearly is capable of 4 more years of it. If the dems would stand with Biden and fight the Project 2025/MAGA insurrection, they could grow a spine and save America from the disaster the right has planned.

I have seen 0 clips of Trump from the debate, the only thing I know is he lied so much they will not show the clips, and we have already heard it all before. To win a debate there has to be a clip of the winner saying something new and truthful that gives them the advantage. Or say something that shows you are the better candidate. If you are unable to show such a clip and explain why Trump's point is so important to the race you cannot say the person won the debate. In fact, every Trump answer was one of his few dozens rally rants, there is not that is an interesting point or how can he counter that in any of it. The rants are constructed to make Trump (dragging in his true followers) a victim or filled with lies to make his followers angry at the government that only Trump can fix.

Cope harder... okay, how's this for coping? The poles are based off of sample sizes and those numbers are then extrapolated using the most current census data... The 2020 census data, with the illegal question of... "are you a US citizen" along with the far Riech's warm attitude toward individuals who aren't mayonaise colored, has created a data set that's not as accurate as it should be. I agree with Chai Komanduri. I cannot stand Trump. Prior to this debate I liked Biden, but I was worried that his inability to articulate a message would limit his ability to defeat Trump. After the debate, I became furious with him because I felt like I was lied to. He is clearly not fit for the job---and he and his aides knew it. Yet he chose to run again anyway. I don't like being lied to by politicians. As a result, unless the Democrats find a new candidate, I will vote 3rd party as I refuse to vote for someone who lies to me or tries to gaslight me.

Using a sports metaphor, one cannot redeem a playoffs loss during a regular season game. The only way Joe Biden can recover from his poor debate performance is to debate trump again, and harshly prosecute him in front of the American people, with the vigor and authority that a sitting president should display! Since the courts refuse to hold him accountable. If Biden can't do that, he should step aside and let someone who can do it take his place! There are far too many misinformed and uninformed people, along with gullible people and people who want to believe lies so they can forget the truth, for anyone who is running for president to allow trump to spew lies unchecked! I don't believe Biden would fare any better in a second debate with trump. Maybe they should check and see if Joe still has a sufficient amount of testosterone in his system.

I think it is a matter of educating the public about what it means to older and what it means to be a liar. Adding is not a problem and does not confer that someone becomes less because of it. It brings changes not losses because aging increases experience and a longer view of time. I hear things now being said that I heard in the 1970’s. Whose memory has that perspective? Our society is not about the young and high functioning young, it is about others too! People’s live are not a matter of value to others, it is about being people together. Not rank, status, or wealth. None of these things are mentioned as to life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness.
