Sisters are among the best of the best. They're training every bit as rigorous and deadly as that of Space Marines recruits. Do or do not there is no try, there is only death in their failure, depending on the Order. For female humans and even male humans, they must prove that they are the most capable and faithful soldiers before they receive the full power armor, combat drugs and occasional augmentations.

The problem of urban warfare. You can be surprised at any time, but in a city, especially a ruined one, there is a lot of places where you can get shot from and things to hide behind. Fatigue will dull your perception. Any moment of distraction or not looking in the right direction can be a death sentence. A sad fate but not an uncommon one.
@lamesurfer1015
@lamesurfer1015 8 ай бұрын
@@kingskelett6265 City-fights, especially in super-cities is a fucking nightmare. Thanks to the dimensionality and the over abundance of cover and concealment, you could very well be mere meters away from your opponent at all times and in every direction. But paradoxically, you must expose yourself or cross linear hazards where you are viewable from possibly kilometers away. Either way, there's a chance you'll have to discriminate between combatants and civilians at a distance or with half a heartbeat to decide whether to pull the trigger on the human silhouette you just saw. Furthermore, the air and water is toxic (or at the very least carcinogenic) from all the burning materials and unprocessed sewage and the buildings you walk on could be losing their stability moment by moment. Luckily, we haven't had to experience that is in the US. But If there is one thing I'd say is nightmare fuel, its clearing staircases. That shit still gives me sweats.

I like how the show makes the sisters of battle look like they are also humans, quite different from the memes we are used to.
@SordidusFellatio
@SordidusFellatio 8 ай бұрын
Come on now, memes are just meme, it should never be taken seriously in the first place but sadly, most people do, specifically those that favor Orkish meme. Meme are supposed to be oversaturated, over simplified and over exaggerated, and it has to imply toward multiple contexts as making it relatable with the viewers fulfil the uncanny humour side of us that we all have, evidenced by what humored kids on KZfaq (Toilet man and all that weird stuff that they enjoy so much), to us it looked and sounded weird, but it’s no different to what humored us adults, the only difference is that our perspective toward the world matured, and alongside it, our humor too. Plenty of meme in a literal way ruined part of the community too, specifically toward new comers, I had seen one on a reaction channel, and she or he is pretty new to the franchise, and a guy decided to comment “Oh and the Emperor is only alive because Ork believed it so!” and the YTber replied “Really? That’s fascinating!” and he replied back “Yeah! It’s funny right” all the while I’m sitting right across the screen face palming myself 🤦🏻‍♂️ I can’t be asked anymore and so I just leave.

Regarding the zombies, it's all apart of the aptly named Pariah Nexus. There's some written lore on it in some White Dwarf magazines back during the 9th edition launch and such. Really creepy and depressing too, the Imperium really isn't prepared for any of what the Necrons bring to the table during the campaign. Also, during the series, when the Deathmark is hunting the Ultramarine it's been speculated that it's the same Veteran Sergeant from the 9th edition launch video and Danica is the SoB (they share the same scar on their face). Additionally, the Sister's faith and the Ecclesiarchy are actually the only reason the battle continues at all. Early on it's determined that the populations of various planets affected by the Nexus have been 'rendered' down by the Necrons. As the fighting begins, the Imperium holds their ground, even gaining some, before the Astra Militarum regiments start reporting mass blindness and the outbreak of the zombie plague. Only the Space Marines and various religious fanatics and groups are able to resist the nexus' effects; the Space Marines because of who and what they are, the Sisters and various hangers on because of the power of their faith - it acts as a shield for those around them as well. Like I said, it's a great campaign and sticks with just how horrible the Necrons are as enemies. Another excellent campaign worth reading is the FW book, The Fall of Orpheus.

Personally, I like to believe the Guardsman is a vision sent by the Emperor. She says things that I don't think even a Guardsman would say or know and I don't believe Sister Danica knew the Guardsman well enough to form some kind of bond for her to hallucinate her. I think the Emperor is trying to save her soul and bring her onto the right path. But that's just my belief

@@wiilovLikely not, there is plenty of lore of Pariah nexus in 9th edition. What seems to be the case is the case is the nexus effects people differently, with those who has a weak faith falling to its influence(zombies). While people with strong beliefs are protected and those around them. My guess is that the sister due to being exposed for a long period of time starts to have wavering faith, which leads to hallucinations which would try to break her faith or challenge it.

If it's just what I saw of the episode, it's very short, for how long it took. Considering that initial action video from years ago, a trailer just over 2 years ago and only now this mini, which can't even be called a series. Not to belittle all the work of the team behind the animation, there is undoubtedly a lot of dedication there, you can see it. But I expected much more in terms of quantity, I don't know if it's finished yet.... I'm sorry for anyone who subscribes to Warhammer Plus, waiting so long for so little. Apart from the fact that it is a niche of people who subscribe to plus, I think GW could upload content to Amazon as soon as possible, anyway, I hope that Warhammer leaves the fan bubble and takes over the world.

the story is truly a touch by the black library. They love to have 2 or more plot lines going on parallel. A human perspective in the story, such as the sister; whether she is delusional, or unreliable narrative. Then a glimpse of hope, such as lonely salamander; whether he survives or not XD its better to be open ended. A galactic size asshole running the show, and even he is beaten, it's equivalent to spitting at a person's long casting shadow. It neither inconsequential nor memorable to him.

I really love your style of editing for these videos. You go through with your face in the screen as to make it fair use. But you do it without interrupting or speaking till you need to do a recap of the scene. Then you go back and help us understand the situation and details. Again, thank you.

Yeah Danica would be up on the purging block, she’d be a repentia in 2 seconds if not purged outright if she said this infront of the wrong people, glad she changed her mind 😂 Great episode

Counterpoints, I’ve been enjoying your videos on WH and you’ve got me interested. Note, I’m interested in the stories, I’m NOT putting any money to collect and paint miniatures. I’ve got too many hobbies already. One thing that keeps me from delving in is that the stories and the lore still seem to me to be haphazardly slapped together without thought to meaning. I like analyzing stories, to discern what the author(s) are trying to tell us. I’m having trouble in discerning what messages the stories are trying to convey. To me, the WH universe seems to be a collection of dramatic stories/factions/histories that have nothing to offer outside of immediate, dramatic entertainment. Maybe I’m wrong. But this is something I’ve wanted to discuss with you for a while.

I wish the episodes had more units involved in the story. Maybe flashbacks to the Ultra Smerfs squads fighting the Cron.

It truly bums me out that this is the closest Hammer & Bolter has (and likely ever will) come to matching the quality of Astartes.

"Blessed is the mind too small for doubt. We chosen may be few, and our enemies many. Yet so long as there remains one of us still fighting, one who still deploys in the name of justice and truth, then by the Emperor, the galaxy shall yet know hope, and see the fires of holy retribution through his eyes. For those who seek perfection, there can be no rest on this side of the grave. May my sword be the mercy of angels, my bolter the deliverer of vengeance. Praise to the Imperium, Praise to the Emperor!"
