This song isn’t about Miku feeling upset about the world. In this song Miku has lost her boyfriend from him committing and not accepting his death. This shows the stages of sadness/ grief showing how she wasn’t accepting his death and slowly starts to bottle up her emotions by screaming not knowing how to express her emotions due to her boyfriend being dead. The screams are not full of hate,sadness,confusion it’s just her emotions on not knowing how to feel. On the last part of the song she slowly starts to accept his death knowing he wasn’t alive which shows how the last scream was the loudest one.

I literally just found this song thinking it was just gonna be Miku screaming....BOY I WAS WRONG.

I think this song is about loosing a close friend from them committing not alive and as time passes you start to slowly forget important aspects about them and the deep sorrow and grief that comes with it. Miku is faced with what seems like emotional numbness as she screams out each time she remembers a little bit or realizes she forgot something about them. The grave (seen at 0:53) and the line "Your hand I'm squeezing is cold" (seen at 2:02) supports that the boy is dead. I also think that she may have found the body from the boy's posture and how her face changes from crying to sort of terror between 2:25 and 2:47 as she seems to remember the last time she saw him. At the end of the song right before the final scream, she admits that she's forgetting his voice which is awful. This song truly is a masterpiece and is one of my favorites but from these comments I feel like the meaning is lost in it's simplicity and the fact the title is just あ :(

i feel like this song touches on loosing feeling to a person that may or may have not hurt you, being unable to grasp what it is that's making the persons hands in the song cold. "our future is dark." i feel as if this touches on the fact that the future seen with the two is distant, or worse. making her emotions confused, sad, and scattered. she mentions the world being huge, specifically the people in it, struggling and having issues but not being able to understand it, i feel as if she wants to help them, by asking them what they want her to sing to make them feel better, basically selflessness, and her coming to a realization that maybe the thing between her and the person is only her loving him and giving him everything, while he idlely doesn't understand her, or is just outright hurting her, she screams again, the screams being louder then the last screams she's done. her voice is probably screaming weakly and numbly from all the singing she's done for other people. that's just my analysis!!!

If I’m analyzing this correctly, it’s about losing someone who is close to you. Miku is lamenting the death of someone she held close to her, (I think she had plans to marry them??). Regardless, in attempts to make her pain go away, Miku tries to erase the person from her memory. This only makes her grief worsen, as she is feels guilty for trying to forget them, and still wants to keep the memories of them. In the end, Miku is unable to do anything but cry.
