I've never used a hitch type carrier as I've always had trailers. When you get your trailer be sure to get one with standard vehicle sized tires, not a trailer with the smaller 4 lug nut wheels. I owned one of those and suffered far too many flats. My current trailer came with full sized wheels and tires and yes, I did get a flat on it as well. The biggest difference was when I replaced the flat tire, I was able to buy a higher ply tire, I think it was an 8 ply. Never had a flat since.

Hey Jacob - the YT algorithm recently turned me onto your channel. Great stuff! My partner and I had one of the Karavan brand utility trailers from our local big box store. It fit two bikes quite comfortably and our Subaru towed it w/o any issues. Totally understand when you say, you get what you pay for. Cheers!

the one you like with the bottle jack is awesome. My buddy has one and loves it. I have the black widow version of the one you have and it's good. I also have the harbor freight 4x8 folding trailer that was like $350. the key with them is to repack wheel bearings yourself. I haul two bikes almost every weekend on it and have had it for years. I took it 6 hours each way last weekend. they are great for the money just don't expect it to be a $1500 trailer.

I bought a similar hitch carrier (ramp type) at first. I got the extra long ramp to make loading easier. I also wanted the ability to load and unload by myself. I have a DRZ400 which is around 320lbs. It was super sketchy trying to load under power while walking beside the ramp, and about dropped it on myself. I then got the Ultimate MX hauler and after figuring out how to load by myself, it is totally awesome. I'm just wondering how much it will truly hold. I'd like to upgrade to a 450lb midsize bike like the Aprilia Toureg.

Good feedback. I researched the ultimate MC carrier, too. Looks pretty impressive but not cheap. I’m still on the fence.

Thanks for the video! I have a quick question: I also have a Subaru Outback 2020 with the stock springs, unlike yours. I bought a hitch carrier that has a limit of 450 pounds. The bike I want to carry is a KLX250, which is about 300 pounds wet. The carrier itself is about 40 pounds. I'm a bit nervous about this. Do you think I'll be fine? The Subaru specs for my car (2.5 Liter AWD) say that the tongue weight limit is 270 pounds, so clearly less than what I'd be carrying. Do you have any recommendations for me? THanks in advance!

The rear tire of your bike sits on 2 pieces of "all thread" that you are currently missing. That is what the holes on the side are for.
