I needed someone to rent a U-Haul for me a couple years ago. He drove the truck but I paid the fees. I don’t have a car or drivers license, nor did I have a credit card. I paid every dime owed and the truck was driven and returned by the person whose license was used. I was so happy, blessed and grateful that they were able and willing to do it for me. Sometimes per the situation we need to ask special favors but as my mama always taught me “your word is your bond.” And She also used to say “Never burn your bridges.”

I work for roadside assistance for commercial vehicles, including rental units. Six days past a contract date for when the truck was to be returned and there's been no verbal contact to extend the contract, the unit is considered stolen and is ordered to be towed. Many of the units have locators on them.
