When there is no difference in the sense of speed comparing 6th gear and 2nd gear then it's just the setup/settings. Probably to make this look more ridiculous than it actually is.

I've been playing rally games since the very first Colin McRae Rally came out. I totally love it, but I am still utterly shit at it. So, watching your videos is always just so... mind boggling. It is so, so impressive for me to see someone being able to drive with such a speed and with absolute control over both the car and the track. You are really inspiring, Cookie! Also, I've just seen your video from two weeks ago. I'm so sorry that you had no luck finding a sponsor, but I hope that you don't give up and find your way back into the WRC. when i was young there was a Rally game for PC Windows 95 or 98, cant remember. but i had it...and i was so incredibly amazed by its realism back then, that Rally games have been a passion ever since...even over FPS games or RPG's like Diablo.

This is my favorite stage in Dirt Rally 2.0 - that or maybe Fourketa Kourva (Greece). Basically anything with a lot of hairpins and fast sections, lol. Great driving!! Fast, but also smooth racing... and not cheating with corner-cutting exploits like so many record breakers do. As expected of a professional rally driver!

Great captions and commentary! :D I know editing takes orders of magnitude more time than simply hitting record, stop, and upload, but I'll look forward to any future captioned videos too. I see people asking for car settings fairly often on videos like this, so I'm sure a bunch of people out there will appreciate having the chance to compare their times with same setup. My own times fall squarely in the "urgent Sunday driver" tier, and I will only be seen on track signalling right and waving traffic past. :P

@@classic7376 hi, there is no Rally simulation currently, but best games you can find are iRacing, Automobilista2 and BeamNg. However, even an arcade game like Dirt can train some skills of Pros (focus, adjusting to car behavior, finding tracklimits, coordination). The car in the game is way easier to controll, due to the fact that even on pro settings your rear is moving while you are steering (I don‘t talk about drifting). The game also helps you with slightly corrections within corners (works like a magnet, that pulls you to the inner corner if you are too much off) which is not recognizable for casual players. Further more it‘s almost impossible to spin while you have almost no understeering even if your techniques are wrong.

Thanks so much for sharing your car configuration! I'm pretty much a DR 2.0 beginner and while I've come up with car settings that I feel comfortable and doing quite well with (313th, Elsthorpe Sprint Forward, Lancer Evolution VI, very chuffed about that one 😏), it's all just guesswork, trial & a lot of error. So these are very appreciated! And look quite different from mine too. More trial & error tonight, I guess 😁

I have no idea who you are or understand the video title... But I just started playing Rally 2.0 in VR yesterday and you, ma'lady, are insane... After about 3 runs I figured out about 60-70% of what the calls mean and that helped dramatically. I don't need a video to show you my skill level, simply ask your grandmother to drive you to the store. I can't drive above 3rd gear... My "hit accelerator/hit tree" ratio is 1:1 But hey, rolling in VR is part of the fun
