Come with us as we celebrate our 12th annual home haunt tribute to Walt Disney's Haunted Mansion at Disneyland. Appearances from all the characters you know and love, including Madame Leota, Singing Busts, and the Hatbox Ghost.

Fun Facts:
➜ Nearly ever prop has been custom designed and built from scratch.
➜ The 13 Clock was the first prop I ever made in 2001 when I was 15 years old.
➜ The Stretching Gallery took over 200 hours to create and is hand drawn, utilizing a custom pulley rig.
➜ Most of the Attic props are antiques dating back prior to WWI. The wedding dress on the bride is over 130 years old.
➜ The Tombstones in our Graveyard were custom carved to the exact designs of the Haunted Mansion.
➜ Our audio blends the Haunted Mansion with Phantom Manor in Paris.

We used to have Little Leota but haven’t had the time to add it back in since the effect got removed. I’ll see what I can do.

I am sure it doesn’t impress the imagineers. It’s great for a home haunt but dude, it’s not Disney. No one could afford to impress a Disney imagineer.

@@crosisofborg5524 Actually, many Imagineers have seen it in person and loved it. Not everything has to be a multi-million dollar extravaganza to show real heart and passion in design. As the real Haunted Mansion has proven, most of the effects are simple but extremely effective.

It’s actually for 10 days we run the attraction. It starts the second to last Friday and is every night till Halloween. It’s much more elaborate now from what you see in this video and would be too crazy for just a single night.

This is a true labor of love! And I appreciate ALL of it!! I dont mean to be pushy but you must have the hitchhiking ghosts added! maybe this year? but thank you for doing this from someone who truly appreciates what you have done!

We would love to do the Hitchhiking Ghosts in physical form, however we feel that in order to create them we need to do the actual characters justice. We simply haven’t found a way to faithfully recreate them to our standards and the quality guidelines set out by Walt Disney. Soon as that option becomes available we will definitely pursue it. This year we were able to create the mummy, old man, and Little Leota which turned out great.

TheRadioAteMyTV We take our neighbors comfort into great consideration. All construction is done inside the garage with doors closed, there are no sounds until the show operates for 3 hours a night for the last week of October.

I grew up in Windermere Florida I live pretty close to the back entrance of Disney World period my whole family has worked at Disney World for many years. I pretty much grew up at the resorts sneaking in on the weekends laying out by the pool picking up boys. Our family always had Disney World tickets. My father worked there for 25 years plus and my mother-in-law work there also so we always had free tickets

Really appreciate that, we are located in Portola Hills in Lake Forest California. Usually open for 10 days at the end of October. We have tickets you have to reserve, it will be posted on our Instagram and Facebook.

We partially do this on Halloween night. No additional scenes but usually more actors and intensity.

A lot 😅 Been creating stuff since 2001 and operating as an attraction since 2006. I truly embrace Walt Disney’s standards and continually try to honor that tradition of outdoing myself each time. There have been thousands of hours put into it over the years.

HolidayCoro Controllers / Xlights to program / Raspberry Pi for video and to run the Xlights file which requires an OS from falcon. Running DMX as well from the controller for fog and certain lights.

This is fantastic! can you please tell me something about your characters... did you make the bride and the hattie yourself? did you also make the grave keeper? And the 3 ghostly gentleman at the end.... did you make them too? did you buy a mask? how'd that work?

Yes, I created them by hand over the years. Took a ridiculous amount of dedication in my 20's to make it all happen. I don't even know if I could recreate them today if I was asked, that's how crazy it got. I was responsible for the design, structure, and body form. The faces, hands, and hats I outsourced, but are also made by artists at the top of their game. The Hatbox Ghost was the most difficult which took over 6 months to create. The bride features a 120 year old wedding dress.

Unfortunately there wasn't enough space to convincingly recreate it. I did have a pepper's ghost effect but when the haunt got redesigned to be more compact, there simply wasn't any room for it anymore.
