Give me Hausa koko for breakfast lunch or dinner and I will forever love you it hands down my favorite breakfast of all times and so do my family and about 90% of Ghanaians think the same way it’s super healthy and doesn’t also break the bank, it’s Ghanaian most popular street food you can find, though it’s from the northern part of Ghana but dominated all over the country and beyond. This meal is so much loved especially when paired with koose /akara/ black eyed beans fritters, boafloat/puff puff or even tea bread. So I am really happy to share the recipe with you from scratch.

500g Pearl millet
2 thumb sized ginger
A tsp of cloves
A tsp of dried pepper
A tsp of black pepper corns
5-6 cardamom seeds (secret ingredient)
4-5 grains of selim
4-5 dried pepper
Tsp of salt
