You are not the only one who cries. It is played superbly, but I regret they repeat the 1st part only and stop at the "Schaue hier, Herz and Auge weinen bitterlich um Dir." Listen to the vocal version, too (Aafje Heynis is a good choice). She was a pure alto and that is most proper. I mayself have sung this but I'm not a professional.

If they had such a gift they would have performed the work as Bach intended. If they don't have the artistry to understand, at least they should have refrained out of respect and reverence.

I appreciated Stjepan and his quietness too. I also appreciate his cello and his deeper sounds from it. To me and I’m sorry, the violinist was just screechy. !!! 🤷♀️. So sorry.

A yearning for what has never been... just glimpsed in a dream of clouds.... and you hug yourself, without tears, clinging on to the hope of feeling his caress. This is what I feel when listening to Huser's " Erbarme dich" rendering.

Violinista eccezionale, Hauser una garanzia di avvicinare tutti alla musica, magari teatralmente, ma se serve, ben venga. Non dimentichiamo che tutta questa magia è creata dall'orchestra e dal direttore, ma senza Bach non saremmo qui... Complimenti a tutti!!!

Клип:"Дуэт скрипки с виолончелью". Какое великолепное сочетание скрипки Ланы Тротовсек и виолончели Маэстро Степан Хаусер. Словно соловей поет скрипка, затрагивая тонкие струны души, ей вторит виолончель. Этот божественный дуэт нужно слушать в храме, потому что музыка V.S.Bach возвышает, умиротворяет, тонко и мелодично рассказывает о предназначении человека в этом мире. Слушатели с замиранием сердца слушают выдающихся музыкантов- виртуозов. Как подчеркнуто галантен к своей коллеге,какой пиетет к красивой женщине!Сколько обаяния и изящества у Маэстро! Браво!

@@stjepanhauser2155 from Germany - and I used to be in a church choir (many MANY! years ago) and of course we used to sing the Matthew Passion! I always loved this part and always thought there is some dialogue but never heard it that clear!

I love how Stjepan treats those dueting with him. He is a most gracious star and rather puts the other(s) in a star position taking back stage himself. He also reassures them with his pleasing glances in their direction. LOVE!

Überirdisch schöne Musik von JSB - wunderschön und aussergewöhnlich interpretiert in einer „schwer romantischen“ Fassung von zwei grossartigen Musikern. So etwas kann man selbst heute SO ERLESEN nur ganz selten erleben - Danke dafür!! Ich könnte heulen .......
