We lost our little campin’ buddy, Doug, on Good Friday ( ironically ) after 16 years and I can’t stop thinking about him. He loved camping too with us, loved my swag big time. People without pets, especially dogs, don’t realise it’s like losing one of the kids. Sending you good strong thoughts and I sincerely wish you well with it all mate. 🤜🤛

Good review and I agree with most you're saying...but unless you're sleeping on a boat or some kind of confined space, your set-up is perfect. For me travelling 90% of the time and more so engaging in surf & offshore fishing (sandy beach mostly) I prefer my rooftop. In saying that, your approach towards realistic camping for what you do, I'll agree 100% that you're set-up is awesome, easy, convenient and the better choice, no doubt. Mate, it's great to see you back posting videos. Sorry for the loss of Charlie, it definitely gets me in the feels. My dog and cross-country traveling companion passed on a couple of years back. I have a vial of her ashes hanging from my mirror in the truck to keep her with me on backcountry US adventures. One filming tip learned a few years back, is to keep your camera on fixed focus if it's an option - rather than tracking. It stops the camera hunting while you're filming, and might help your already stellar videos! Keep 'em coming Pete, I need to catch up on the podcast! (And I was 3 beers in on this one) Cheers!

I had the same issue with the high lids on the boxes. The high lids are just the way they are. The flat lids close easily. The company advised thats the way they close. They sent me a video on how to close the taller high lids. You have to press ontop and close each opposite corner. Its a bit annoying why they dont close easily like the flat lids.

My 15 year old Jack Russell is getting towards the end of his life. Not sure how l will handle it. So l don’t know how you feel, but sorry for your loss. Sorry to hear about the dog, our Rotti turns 12 next in June and she is the oldest one we've had and no what's coming which sucks big time. Always good to get out of the comfort zone, even if its only for a laugh. Still think this is the best channel going, pity WA so bloody far away. All the best from the East coast.

Sorry to hear about doggo, it's very tough to lose pets at any time. Try not to be too hard on yourself with the product stuff as they're offering it based on what they've seen you do in the past and the trust that people will have in your opinion so trying to do it differently even if you want to may not be of that much added benefit and will make it more stressful for you imo. It will get easier the more you do it as well. As an experiment with the boxes maybe try it on flat concrete as those clips are much wider than mine so if the box is flexing on an uneven surface it may make them harder to close. They are an excellent product though imo and I find I don't always need to use the high top lids. Thanks for the video.
