An English teacher shows how the verb "have" is formed in the present perfect tense. This is the third in a series of videos. The first was for the verb "be" in the present perfect tense. The second video was for the verb "do" in the present perfect tense. These three verbs--be, do, and have--are very common in spoken English, so they must be mastered in the present perfect tense.

Hi Paul, a couple of paramount questions for a foreign learner of English. The first, at 6:00' : what did you eat today? VS what did you have to eat today? VS what have you had to eat today? Now, what's their different meaning if any? When would u use one rather than the other (I mean in which different context)? Which one is the most used in everyday spoken English? Second point, at 9:20': “It's important FOR the helping verb TO match that answer here” This is a sentence with a “weird” structure for a foreign learner of English. For instance, in Italian/French and Spanish is given with a subjunctive NOT an infinitive :/. It would be useful a lesson on this topic, cause this kind of sentence (FOR.....TO....) is very frequent. Have a good day and thanks for your great lessons!

Dear teacher, there are no words to express how happy I am that Learn American English Online is back up and running! The first thing I did was download the purple, orange, and purple level checklists. Now I have a guide for classes both on the site and on your KZfaq channel. During the course, I take notes and copy the material in case of possible problems in the future. 🍀💐🍀💐🍀💐🍀

There is a question in my mind Normally we use "there" with "indefinite nouns" But. In this case i used "definite noun " with "There " in Subordinate Clause. This is the time when "there" is my bike. Q1) Is "THERE" word adverb of place in this sentence.
