Standard premade lasagna is a pain, because lasagna always gets stuck to the metal oven container rather than going on your plate and in your mouth. The yorkshire pudding doesn't cling to the metal and ensures all the lasagna makes it to the plate.

They don’t if you use a knife to cut around the edges of the lasagna in the tray then use a spatula to cut a portion then get underneath it and lift it up and out onto the plate same way you’d do a home made one
@racingspoon
@racingspoon Жыл бұрын
They should put some meat sauce or bechamal on the bottom before the first layer of pasta. 👍
@martineyles
@martineyles Жыл бұрын
@@Alexander_l322 The edges aren't generally smooth and flat but have ridges to allow them to be stronger with less material. Even if you use a knife and a spatula and use a spoon to try to get the remainder out of the corners, there will be some left over. This is harder with a small one person serving (which the reviewed product is), where you can only just fit in the spatula. This is generally less of an issue with home made lasagna because the reusable dishes generally don't need the ridges because they're made of thicker material. Even then, you may get some difficult to remove baked on portions.

I’ve yet to try it but I think that you have asked the wrong question. Surely the question should be “Does the Yorkshire pudding need the sheets of pasta?” Just put the meat ragu sauce straight into the pudding and add a layer of cheesey bechamel sauce, cook so the top starts to take a little colour and serve with a couple of slices of garlic bread and a small garnish of parsley .

*Fantastically presented and reviewed the New Twisted Yorkshire filled lasagne 🙌👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻* I can totally see how the flavour would drown out the Yorkshire pudding. The crusty top or the crumb sounds like a real texture enhancement as does the crispy Yorkshire . an instant thought that the Yorkshire is a vessel for the lasagne. Lasagne is a delicately strong meal. Brilliant concept though. Would I buy this? Probably. Well done all around. Very interesting.

Hi Gareth, myself I think a lasagne is best on its own when you cook a lasagne if you cook it longer it gives a nice crust around the lasagne taste beautiful. Because a lasagne in a Yorkshire pudding just a gimmick and £4 pounds not cheap, I remember iceland god you could spend £50 quid and you got loads of items but now them days have gone I think iceland now there food prices are sky high now to have a big shop in iceland now you need to take out a mortgage..thanks gaz doing a great job.

Yorkshire puddings lend themselves to almost any filling from roast beef to curry, or even a sweet filling apple pie and custard for instance. I can see a good lasagne working well in a Yorkshire. Yum 😋 My personally get a some nice buns from supermarket, then dirty the chipshop chips with cheese (oven baked bacon an optional extra). Get the chips home ASAP. And assemble. Some of them are good for the price though. I'm simply not paying £15 for a pizza when if you find the right £2 one it's almost as good. Morissons 79p thin crust one is good, Ristorante are good, Lewis Capaldi cheese is good, the old La Bottega ones were better than Domino's. Even then There's fresh ones like Morissons Best stonebaked range that are consistently better than takeaway for less than half the price. There aren't many excuses for wasting money on domino's besides admitting you just prefer it over perfectly reasonable alternatives.

Hi Gareth, I think the original chef must has been smoking something, for that combination. It's like a students munchy. You could have that alongside a Baguette with pot noodle filling.Thanks for the review. 👍

The Yorkshire pudding is just a container for the Lasagne. Would be an expensive buy for a family, who could make a Lasagne a lot cheaper.

Yorkshire pudding is quite cheap to make. Whatever version you make is likely to be more healthy with more egg & less additives than the factory made version. Lasagna is quite cheap to make, depending on the quality of the ingredients. You can make a more nutritious dish with a higher ratio of protein & using some nutritious fresh vegetables & some super concentrated tomato puree & it will be more tasty & more healthful than something that comes out of a factory with loads of added powders & chemicals & more carbs than your body can use. Fresh is best. Home made is best.

It probably tastes good. However, the Yorkshire pudding case is better suited to meat and gravy recipes. Bit like chips on toast. 👍

So i guess, if the Yorkshire pudding doesn't add any think to it #, then i suppose all its really doing it keeping the lasagne in a circle, then really they could use pie pastry and call it a lasagne pie.

The Yorkshire pudding is adding a load of salt and saturated fat. I’m hyper vigilant atm as just being told I have raised cholesterol and high blood pressure. Hope you getting regular check ups Gaz? you try these processed foods so we don’t need too. 😂
