Good morning from here sensei Mochi. Just started following you in Instagram last week and just subscribed on your KZfaq channel. Been in Japan for almost 9yrs and still I cannot communicate very well in Japanese. Your learning videos really helps me and I will watch and learn from it everyday, religiously. It's very helpful in everyday conversation especially with my strict Japanese husband. I could help my eldest son as well to learn fast since he is not a Japanese. My 2 little kids as well studies with me. Thank you so much and looking forward in everyday.

im studying abroad in japan for two months (leave in 18 days) and i have to thank you so much for these videos! I know a lot of basics and yet get hung up on the "academically correct" grammar. i think this is why i find japanese sign language much easier to learn as an ASL user haha!! thank you again, you make amazing content!

Really helpful and clear, with some great every day example sentences. Just what I needed after learning the rather lengthy nakarebanarimasen construction from my textbook, and beginning to lose motivation because despite repeating many times I sound like a robot, a rusty and hesitant English robot!!! This is much easier.

@carloenix
@carloenix Ай бұрын
I’m no Japanese expert lol but the way I understand it, this form seems to work like a double negative. eg せんたくしなきゃ(not do the laundry) いけません (cannot), so literally “I can’t not do the laundry” = “I have to do the laundry”
@mochirealjapanese3430

it's just that "have to" in Japanese is しなきゃいけません it's not negative form, it's grammar like this so think separately, the grammar "have to" in Japanese is like this😊
