What if we could open a portal to a parallel universe? Last year, there was a lot of media coverage on NASA scientists detecting a parallel universe. Is the assertion correct?

Script:
#Parallel universes. If you are a fan of the Marvel Cinematic #Universe you must have heard about this term already.
Just the thought of a parallel universe could spark our crazy imaginations. People could be transported from one to the other, enabling us to live in a universe that's presumably better, than our own. Does that sound too good to be true? Well, last year there was a lot of media coverage on a #NASA scientist detecting a parallel universe.
And in general, this is what they claim.
“At the moment of the Big Bang two universes were formed - ours, and another one that from our perspective is running in reverse.”
I wanna don’t blame you if this sounds straight out of a scifi movie. So, let’s ask the question, is it true that there’s a parallel universe where time runs backward? Well today, we’re going to explore that, and beyond.
Let’s take a look at the concept of parallel universes a little bit closer.
From a physics point of view, parallel universes are one of those intriguing ideas that sounds imaginative, but very difficult to test. This concept of parallel universes arises in physics from the idea of the multiverse. We’ve covered this topic in great detail in this video, so make sure to check it out.
According to the cyclic model of the universe, the big bang itself wasn't the very beginning. There was a very different phase of the Universe that occurred previously to set up and give rise to the Big Bang. This is called cosmological inflation. When and where inflation ends, a Big Bang occurs.
But what is even the point of talking about this? After all, we're stuck in our own universe, and maybe.. there’s no way to test this idea about parallel universes. Because in all the experiments that scientists have ever performed, they’ve never found any strange interaction that requires something outside of the governing physics to explain.
For example, particles don't simply appear, disappear, or transform. They can only interact with other quanta of matter and energy. We live in a universe that is being governed by the law of physics. So, every interaction of particles must be uniformly governed by the same law.
And you might be wondering why I bring this up. Well, there’s actually a link between this example, and the media hype on the evidence of parallel universes. So let’s get to it.
It appears that the claim about the evidence of parallel universes started from an article posted by New Scientist. Their headline was “We may have spotted a parallel universe going backwards in time”. In all fairness, the post is backed-up by a thought-provoking article about some puzzling results from an experiment conducted in Antarctica. So before we go any deeper, let’s first understand how the whole experiment works.
The Antarctic Impulsive Transient Antenna, or ANITA, conducted a long-term helium balloon experiment. It is designed to detect radio signals generated by ultra-high energy neutrinos and cosmic rays. This helium balloon is flying over Antarctica, at the height of thirty seven thousand meters.
Neutrinos, which are subatomic particles similar to electrons, have no electrical charge and sometimes considered massless. These particles are abundant in the universe and they are very hard to detect. Even now, scientists have estimated that millions of neutrinos are passing through every centimeter square of our skin, without leaving any clue. The main source of Neutrinos are stars and in our case, it is the Sun.
But when a very high energy neutrino particle passes through matter, they do interact with the matter and their interaction generates radio waves. If we can detect these radio waves, we can tell what kind of neutrino-interaction it was, and through the direction of those radio waves, we can find from where those neutrinos were coming from.
In 2016, ANITA made a very strange discovery. Usually when neutrinos are detected, they come from outer space, because that is where the source lies. But, during ANITA's flight in 2016, it detected Neutrinos that were not coming from space. Instead, it was coming from Earth.
Let me make it clearer for you. A neutrino can pass through Earth without interacting with it, but when it comes to high energy neutrinos, they do interact with matter. During their collision with atoms, they produce some particles and radio waves. So, if highly energetic neutrinos do pass through the earth, they would interact with the Earth.

Researchers: We looked at these ANITA events and they can't be standard neutrinos. They were probably a result of our imperfect understanding of the Antarctic ice, but there's a chance some new physics phenomenon is responsible. Tabloids: PARALLEL UNIVERSE!

What would be even more freaky than parallel universes where things are slightly different would be parallel universes where they're exactly the same in all instances. Like a multiversal Mandelbrot set where the same pattern is produced over and over again and our shitty decisions and experiences reoccur for true eternity.

I've watched almost 9 HOURS of KZfaq videos about black holes and still have trouble understanding the physics and science behind them. It doesn't bother me as the brightest minds in astronomy are having the same problems! For example, they still aren't 100% sure what black holes are made of or what happens if you go through one. Here is my theory: if you managed to survive being sucked in, the best way to witness it would be to turn away so you fall into it while facing AWAY. Then, you'll probably be sucked into a tunnel that requires you to wear pitch black sunglasses that have leather covers on the sides. The black hole can suck in any light that is nearby so I wouldn't be surprised if it's so bright that the light would damage your eyes or even blind you. Of course, this is theoretical and I have no way to prove it. Another problem is that the name is a bit of an oxymoron: ti's not a hole but possibly a solid, which has a core called the singularity. The problem is that once inside, all the laws of science and physics go spiraling out of control so nothing will make sense. Worse, even if you survive, you will be "spaghettified." In other words, you'll be stretched until the particles that make up your body lose their cohesion! Um, suddenly drinking poison sounds a lot nicer...

I am never a believer nor a fan of theory of parallel universes and the likes, but it's always nice to see genuine scientists try to prove/disprove their existence with proper scientific methods. If there was a parallel universe, the probability of it of having the same events with our universe is close to zero due to its the nature of the uncertainty that occurs. Keep making good videos!

I love that you're wearing a Harry Potter shirt because some fans of the books and movies have theorized that Harry is dreaming through the entire storyline from the first to the last book! In other words, they claim he is being abused by his evil relatives so he escapes by creating a world in his mind and that world includes Hogwarts and his friends Ron and Hermione. Very creepy now that I think about it.

Its honestly being proven through the study of quantum physics. We live in two intersecting mirrored realities. One physical in nature, and one metaphysical in nature. One dominated by time, and the other by timelessness. One physics and the other quantum physics. The issue seems to be "if you can't see it then it can't be proven" but how do you prove something that doesn't want to be seen? We have to all take a leap of faith and jump outside of our belief that everything gets deducted down to atomic particles. We also have sub atomic particles. And the world of sub atomic particles is where quantum physics starts. Or as Einstein used to call it "spooky action at a distance."

This is a very interesting video. Science is great, but some scientists reject really “out there” ideas because those ideas challenge their world views. I think we must keep an open mind. As a side note, I wonder if parallel universes exist where time runs backwards, would entropy run in reverse too, where entropy constantly decreases?
